Boomer & Gio Poscast (WHOLE SHOW)

Boomer & Gio Poscast (WHOLE SHOW)

    Hour 1

Boomer said he got a lot of reaction on social media for having Frank the Tank on yesterday. Frank said the Mets have a bunch of 90 loss seasons coming their way. Gio said these days, if you say something bad against somebody’s favorite team on sports talk, they hate you. Gio said this offseason has been a dud for the Mets and David Stearns. We also talked about the Mets potentially trading Pete Alonso only to be brought back in the offseason. Jerry is here for his first update but first Gio tells us someone was murdered at the hotel he normally stays at in the city when he has to be in the city on a weeknight. We also wondered why teachers get a week off in February. Marcus Stroman talked about loving Brian Cashman now. Cashman said he’s a big gif guy and will send a lot of them throughout the day. Rob Manfred said he will retire in five years. Caitlin Clark became the all time leading scorer in NCAA women’s basketball. The Rangers won their sixth straight last night. In the final segment of the hour, MLB players are not happy with the Fanatics/Nike jerseys. They say they are cheap looking, inconsistent colors, bad stitching and bad fit.

    Hour 2

Gio thinks we are having a day when we can bring our dogs into work thanks to The Farmer’s Dog. CBS Sports Network is running commercials for an underwear company that features ‘ball hammocks’. The company is called Shinesty, and a bunch of people called in who are happy customers. Jerry returns for an update but first Gary Vee took the audio and video from our interview and turned it into a commercial without asking for permission. Rob Manfred gave 5-year notice that he’s leaving in 2029. Josh Hart told Mikal Bridges that it’s a Knicks town no matter how good the Nets are. Caitlin Clark became the all time leading scorer in NCAA women’s basketball history. The Rangers won their sixth straight. In the final segment of the hour, a Dua Lipa update.

    Hour 3

Boomer will not be going to the NHL Stadium Series. A caller wants to know what Boomer thinks of his new boss, George Soros. Gio explains Soros’ hedge fund buying 40% of Audacy’s debt. Boomer and Gio both said that the hedge fund wants to make money so it’s a good thing. We also wondered if the ARod day for Evan and Tiki is genuine or if it’s a bit. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Brian Cashman audio talking about competing for players to come to NY where we don’t have great weather like San Diego. Jalen Brunson talked about watching his dad grind as a player and how it helped him. Caitlin Clark became the all time NCAA women’s basketball scorer. Mike Zimmer met the media and said he’s got a reputation for being a jerk. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about guys who try to get stuff autographed just so they can sell it. Micah Parsons was very frustrated with it upon return from the Super Bowl. Gary Vee called in to talk about the wine text ad that featured Boomer & Gio.

    Hour 4

Denis Potvin calls in to talk about the NHL stadium series at MetLife and why Boomer is a Rangers fan. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Caitlin Clark becoming the all time scoring leader for NCAA women’s basketball. Rob Manfred put in his 5-year notice and said he will retire in 2029. Frank The Tank Backlash From Mets Fans; Pete Alonso's Future; Stroman Hearts Cashman; Rangers Win 6th Straight; MLB Players Hate Jerseys (Hour 1)

Boomer & Gio Podcast (WHOLE SHOW)

Boomer & Gio Podcast (WHOLE SHOW)

    Hour 1

It is looking more and more like Bill Belichick is going to the Falcons. Boomer said it’s ‘definitely’ happening. They have to go through the interview process for the Rooney Rule. Boomer does not like the sham interviews they do just to fulfill the rule. Mainly when they interview a veteran coach they have no interest in hiring. It works the way it is supposed to work when they interview a young coordinator. Boomer expects Belichick to the Falcons to be announced soon. And there are rumors Kirk Cousins could join him there. Phil Simms could see Justin Fields going with Belichick. C-Lo is in for Jerry, who is out with the flu. The Knicks beat the Wizards thanks to Jalen Brunson’s 41 points. The Rangers lost out in Vegas. Kirk Cousins said he wouldn’t turn down an opportunity to play with a Hall of Fame coach. Mike McCarthy said he came to Dallas to win a championship and you should, ‘buy into us’. In the final segment of the hour, we have a Twitter beef between Jay Gruden and RGIII. Gio said they both sucked in the NFL.

    Hour 2

Gio loves Anthony Campanile, a LB coach on the Dolphins. He’s interviewing for a job on the Giants defensive staff. Gio finds him inspiring in how he talks. Very passionate.  This weekend we get to finally see the Ravens, who it feels like we haven’t seen in a while. CJ Stroud is awesome, but Gio doesn’t see him beating the Ravens in Baltimore. The Packers go into San Francisco and Gio thinks they may look like they can’t compete with the Niners. Gio is tempted to jump on the Bucs this week but thinks the Lions will be going to the Championship Game. The Bucs beat a team that was dead, the Eagles. The Lions are not dead. The final game of the weekend is Chiefs at Bills and Boomer is leaning Bills. C-Lo returns for an update and starts with Jalen Brunson scoring 41 as the Knicks beat the Wizards. RGIII took to his podcast to talk about Jay Gruden and how their relationship deteriorated. In the final segment of the hour, Angel Cabrera is welcome back to the Masters as long as he’s allowed to travel to the U.S. A caller said Cabrera would not sign an autograph for his child in a wheelchair.

    Hour 3

CJ Stroud thanked Jesus after the Wild Card game which did air live. When it was posted on social media it was edited out. Gio thinks it was edited out because of time constraints and to get to the point of the game. A caller plays F, Marry, Kill with Antonio Brown, Kyrie Irving and Marcus Stroman. Gio said Al should rate restaurant bathrooms. Gio doesn’t like when someone locks the bathroom if they only have a trough, because then a line forms. Just urinate next to a stranger. C-Lo returns for an update and starts with Jalen Brunson scoring 41 as the Knicks beat the Wizards. Saints GM Mickey Loomis met the media and was chewing gum in an annoying manner. C-Lo has audio from Marcus Stroman but Gio has no interest in  hearing it. ‘That guy sucks’. In the final segment of the hour, Gio questions Stephen Waldron on the email he sent about ideas on things to do in Vegas.

    Hour 4

Boomer’s original Super Bowl pick was Jets/Eagles. His new one is Bills/Niners. We took calls on men’s public restrooms as well. C-Lo returns for his final update of the day and starts with Jalen Brunson scoring 41 as the Knicks beat the Wizards. C-Lo has audio of BT explaining to Sal that Boomer gave them a B+. C-Mac had an odd comment on actor Liam Neeson and photos of him on the internet with wet stains on his pants. Will Compton got involved in the Jay Gruden/RGIII Twitter beef. Amy Trask said this week there are 7 terrific quarterbacks and Brock Purdy. The Moment of The Day involves an F, Marry, Kill call for Gio. In the final segment of the week, our NFL picks with Yussef!

    Jose Cuas

    Jose Cuas

Jose Cuas wants to be known as 'That Guy' rather than "the Major League Baseball player who he reached the majors soon after working as a driver for FedEx."  When you listen to this inspiring episode of Keep Swinging with host Matt Stucko, you will know exactly what the pitcher means by that and if there is anything you will get out of this episode, it is to never give up on your dreams and to always chase progress. Enjoy this recording with the 2022 Tony Conigliaro Award winner.
