Qool__Marv Live at Opening of The American Table Cafe and Bar by Marcus Samuelsson | September 27 2012 on the campus of Lincoln Center

Qool__Marv Live at Opening of The American Table Cafe and Bar by Marcus Samuelsson | September 27 2012 on the campus of Lincoln Center
In the few minutes before this grand opening at that angular room of glass, wood & concrete with New York's 65th & Broadway as its surround backdrop, I thought, "How sweet it is to be loved by you..."

This room, on the Lincoln Center campus, looks and smells like my boss (& mentor) Marcus Samuelsson, but also, it sounds like me.

[see my cover photo to see the room - or go to 65th & Broadway]

Special thanks to Marc Smooth the best relay race teammate ever. The batons you pass to me are made of mahogany and gold.

    [looking up, far, and wide]

    Thank you

The music speaks for me because no words can describe this great night in my life. A convergence of everything excellent, a night where I played music at an HBO event for Harry Belafonte at the restaurant & lounge Red Rooster.

Immense gratitude to all that made that possible - especially to those who made the possibility of my Mom joining me at this celebration of the screening of the Susanne Rostock documentary on the triumphs and trials of Harry Belafonte's life.

That's my Mom in the picture and now you can see where my smile comes from - you have her to thank for all of this music.
