History of the New York Jets episode.5: Return of respectability (1997-2014)

Hello everyone, sorry that I didn't record on Saturday but today I bring to you the long recorded New York Jets episode and the return to respectability. First, they hired Bill Parcells in the hope that he could lead them to the promised land and he went by retooling the QB position by signing free agent Vinny Testaverde. But even this success was short-lived and Parcells would step down as head coach for an office position in the organization which opened the door for Bill Belichick to become head coach of the Jets but would later turn it down in order to become the head coach of the Patriots. The Jets would then bring in Herman Edwards as head coach who would be the first black head coach in Jets history. With Edwards as head coach, he would bring playoff victories but no appearances in the super bowl. Later, he would step down as head coach to coach the Kansas City Chiefs. In would come Eric Magini who had served as the Patriots' defensive coordinator with Magingi he would later bring in Brett Favre in later years who would help the Jets almost reach a playoff berth if not for a torn rotator cuff. Magini would be fired and the Jets would bring in former Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Rex Ryan who would bring his own style to the Jets and draft the later infamous Mark Sanchez. Tuesday join me as I talk about the struggle for success. Thank you for the amazing support
