Boomer & Gio Podcast (WHOLE SHOW)

    Hour 1

The Jets continue to be a story for all the wrong reasons during the offseason. Mecole Hardman was accused of leaking the Jets game plan to the Eagles and the Chiefs this past season. Rob Saleh was also voted in the bottom third of head coaches in the league by his players. Boomer said Hardman should be happy the Jets sent him back to KC. He shouldn’t be trashing them a month after the Super Bowl. Is there anything the Jets can do in the offseason to make us feel positive about this upcoming season? The Jets will probably end up with David Bakhtiari if Aaron Rodgers wants him here. Jerry is here for his first update and starts with Joe Douglas giving Zach Wilson permission to talk to other teams. Boomer thinks he’s going to Minnesota. Chris Russo has a hard time saying, ‘Caleb Williams’. Chiefsaholic has pleaded guilty to his bank robberies. Jerry went around the NBA last night. St. John’s won their third straight. Pete Alonso hit his first HR of Spring. In the last segment of the hour, we talked about Peter Schwartz son, Bradley, and where he will be going to college for ‘long snap’. The NFLPA survey had the Chiefs 31st out of 32 teams as far as players not liking the facility. Boomer talked about his time with the Bengals and how they started a food drive for the homeless but some of the players were taking the food instead. Then the homeless who were coming for the food were breaking into players cars.

    Hour 2

Justin Fields was on video celebrating and it seems like he was celebrating news that he is going to the Falcons. Boomer still thinks there’s a chance he goes to the Raiders. We talked about the Bears looking to trade Justin Fields to draft Caleb Williams. Richard Lewis passed away and Al posted a photo of him and Richard. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Joe Douglas talking about Mecole Hardman and Zach Wilson. Steve Belichick was on a podcast and he sounds just like his father, Bill. Pat McAfee was on a podcast and talked about what a bad ass he is or something to that effect. Jerry went around the NBA last night. St. Johns won their third straight. In the final segment of the hour, Bradley Schwartz, son of Peter Schwartz, makes his college commitment as a long snapper.

    Hour 3

Brian Daboll got great reviews in the NFLPA survey of players. Rob Saleh did not. Gio wonders what the Jets can do this offseason to get the fans fired up for the season. With the Jets still in the news this offseason for all the wrong reasons, it’s good that Aaron Rodgers isn’t one of the players involved. Jerry returns for an update but first Gio said there are mailboxes here at WFAN from people who have passed away or who haven’t worked here in years. There is a debate as to who the ‘penis pioneer’ of broadcasting is. Jerry said it’s Al Dukes, and Eddie has plenty of drops to prove that. Justin Fields seems excited about something and many are speculating that he’s being traded to the Falcons. St. Johns won their third in a row. In the final segment of the hour, all of the dogs that came in yesterday were exhausted when they got home. Former WWE wrestler, Virgil, passed away. We talked about Cameo and if anyone ever got one for somebody.

    Hour 4

We talked about the Knicks and all their injuries and how that will affect their playoff run. We also talked about the Rangers seasons so far and what they need to do in a playoff run. Mikey in Astoria calls to say it’s ‘Rempe-mania’ at the Garden. Jerry returns for his final update of the day and wonders why some NFL coaches don't go to the combine. Scott Boras talked about MLB teams cutting payroll compared to last season. The Moment of The Day involves the ‘penis pioneer’ of broadcasting. In the final segment of the show we talked about the Knicks and some hip language. Drip is one and ‘you glazin’.

Boomer & Gio Podcast (WHOLE SHOW)

Boomer & Gio Podcast (WHOLE SHOW)

    Hour 1

It’s bring your dog to work today thanks to The Farmer’s Dog. Gio’s dog, Elvis, is here. Al’s dog, Whimsy is here. And Eddie’s dog, Cooper, is here. Gio is not going to get worked up about the Knicks right now because it’s not the real Knicks with all of the injuries. Jalen Brunson has a cervical issue. Gio thought only women had a cervix. It got confusing. Jerry is here for his first update and said if he got a dog he would get a golden retriever. Mecole Hardman was on The Pivot podcast and talked about how the Jets ran the offense (it was not good). Gio said this is low hanging fruit for Hardman to bring up after catching the game winning TD in the Super Bowl. Jerry has the 60 foot buzzer beater as the Cavaliers beat the Mavericks. Evan and Tiki played a new game show ‘Posted & Toasted’. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer is interviewing Ronda Rousey for his GameTime show. Rumors of Blake Snell to the Yankees are still out there as Juan Soto was asked about it and of course he would love it.

    Hour 2

Gio wonders why dogs smell each other’s butts. What are they trying to find out? Also how do we know that dogs don’t have any concept of time? Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Knicks losing to the Pelicans. The Knicks are all banged up right now. Jerry has the 60 foot buzzer beater as the Cavaliers beat the Mavericks. Giants GM Joe Schoen met the media and talked about Saquon and the franchise tag. Jerry plays ‘what is that sound’ from Mets spring training. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about a new reality show coming out called, ‘Stars on Mars’ on Fox.

    Hour 3

Giants GM Joe Schoen talked to the media at the combine and the topics of Saquon Barkley and Daniel Jones. None of this means anything until we see action in free agency and with the draft. Gio thinks they will take a quarterback in the draft. Bill Belichick is still out there so if Schoen and Daboll go down, they are going to go down with a quarterback of their choosing. Boomer expects Jones to have a chip on his shoulder and a lot to play for. What if Saquon ends up on the Cowboys? We talked about free agent RBs like Derrick Henry. Boomer wants Gio to go to Detroit for the NFL draft but Gio has no interest in that city. A kid calls in and he’s angry at Evan Roberts for being ‘salty’ towards the Rangers. Jerry returns for an update and has audio from Giants GM Joe Schoen from the combine. Nick Sirianni was also there and talked about Jalen Hurts’ leadership. The banged up Knicks lost to the Pelicans. Will Ferrell was on a podcast and kinda believes the Cal Ripken/Kevin Costner conspiracy. A pro-bowler was arrested mid-match for child pornography charges. Gio thinks bowlers are weirdos. In the final segment of the hour, Colin Cowherd thought his house was being robbed but now he thinks the girl in the car thought it was Taylor Swift’s house.

    Hour 4

It’s NFL combine week and we’re talking about the quarterbacks. Michael Penix seems to be slipping a bit. Some mock drafts JJ McCarthy as a top 10 pick and Gio can’t believe it. Boomer & Gio Podcast (WHOLE SHOW)

Boomer & Gio Podcast (WHOLE SHOW)

    Hour 1

The Chiefs are now in the middle of a dynasty after beating the Niners. Patrick Mahomes stuck a dagger right into the hearts of Niners fans and Kyle SHANAHAN. Gio said he’s lost his identity being out in Las Vegas for so long. We all loved Usher’s halftime show. The Niners defense was flying around which kept it low scoring the first three quarters. Boomer said nobody is playing quarterback like Mahomes right now. He can always find a way. Boomer said if he won the coin toss in overtime, he would have deferred instead of taking the ball like SHANAHAN did. The Chiefs did not score a lot of points in the playoffs but managed to get through everybody. Jerry is here for his first update of the day, but first we’re concerned about this snow storm back at home. We have not been paying attention while here in Vegas. Jerry has the game winning TD as called by Kevin Harlan. Some of the players seemed confused by the playoff overtime rules. Kyle SHANAHAN talked about his decision to take the ball in OT instead of deferring. Mahomes wants a three-peat next year. Ochocinco was going to give up eating McDonalds, get a divorce and give up sex if the Chiefs lost. In the final segment of the hour, Al said he was sitting with riff raff and couldn't believe people paid that much for tickets. Taylor Swift was in a box and was seen talking to Roger GOODELL. Boomer thinks this will be the highest rated Super Bowl ever.

    Hour 2

Gio, Al and Eddie went to the NFL tailgate and Gwen Stefani performed. Gio also detailed our exit out of the stadium where an angel from heaven helped us get from one hotel to a parking lot to get picked up. Stephen Waldron of CBS Sports has a lot of nervous energy in public, and it was on full display when he golfed with us. Stephen also does a cough thing to release nervous energy when things get awkward. Jerry is back for another update and starts with Jim NANTZ’S call of the game winning TD by the Chiefs. Mecole Hardman said he blacked out after making the catch. Travis KELCE sang Viva Las Vegas after the game. Mahomes won the MVP again. Kyle SHANAHAN explained why he took the ball first in overtime. Kevin Harlan does play by play of the streaker running on the field. Tony ROMO made a Hulk Hogan reference and sang Adele into break. The Waste Management in Phoenix was a drunken mess with hecklers fighting with golfers. In the final segment of the hour, Gio was on ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown with Randy Moss to discuss Al booking the other Randy Moss.

    Hour 3

Right now there are way too many people involved in our luggage getting to the airport. Boomer tells a story about coming back to the hotel last night, and only one elevator was working. There was a guy screaming about how the Chiefs suck and how Taylor Swift sucks. When Coach COWHER showed up, the guys stopped acting like a jackass. We talked about the NFL Today Hangover skit and Gio said COWHER was not a great actor. Jerry is here for another update and starts with the final TD as heard on Niners radio. Andy Reid talked about Travis KELCE getting in his face on the sideline early in the game. Boomer said that did not look good on the sideline. Chris Jones of the Chiefs talked about being prepared for the new overtime rules. Brock Purdy talked about the Chiefs offense and how you can’t let Mahomes hang around. Phil Simms’ pick before the game was very confusing. Rex Ryan disputed Adam Schefter’s story about the Cowboys hiring Mike Zimmer as defensive coordinator. In the final segment of the hour, the Brock Purdy questions have been answered. He played well enough to cement himself as their quarterback. Purdy has a great contract which favors the Niners. The McCaffrey fumble on the first drive set the tone for the game. But if the Niners won, McCaffrey would have been the MVP with the combined rushing and receiving yardage.

    Hour 4

Gio said today will be a big Mahomes ass kissing day, well deserved of course. Jordan, Kobe, Brady and now Mahomes. Boomer has some Mahomes stats for us. Boomer compares the careers of Mahomes and Jordan. Gio went to a LIV golf tournament. He enjoyed it, but said he couldn’t take it seriously. Jerry is here for his final update of the day but first we talked about how great of a Super Bowl city Vegas was. Jerry starts with the winning TD as heard on Chiefs radio (they were excited). Mahomes is talking about a three-peat for next season. Mecole Hardman explained the play that resulted in the game winning TD. Andy Reid talked about KELCE getting in his face and bumping him on the sideline. KELCE also did some Viva Las Vegas after the game. SHANAHAN talked about the analytics that made him decide to take the ball in OT. Gio was on ESPN on Sunday with Randy Moss to talk about Al booking the wrong Randy Moss for the show. Moment of The Day involves CBS Sports producer Stephen Waldron’s anxiety on the golf course. In the final segment of the show, Jerry provides some final thoughts on the week in Vegas, Super Bowl and Chiefs dynasty as Boomer, Gio, Al and Eddie leave early for the airport.

Boomer & Gio Podcast (WHOLE SHOW)

Boomer & Gio Podcast (WHOLE SHOW)

    Hour 1

Boomer is in Vegas taping his Greatest Super Bowl Commercials tv show. He must have been bored as he was sending us Instagram reels and even called Gio to talk sports last night. Jerry is in for Boomer. The Knicks won their eighth straight game and have been great since OG got there. Gio said when things are going well for his sports teams, he’s waiting for disaster to rear its ugly head. Gio said Jalen Brunson has to stay healthy and that’s the thing he’s worried about now. Jerry told Gio he just has to enjoy what’s happening with the Knicks and not to doomsday it. C-Lo is here for his first update of the day and starts with the sounds of last night’s Knicks win over the Jazz. Why do teams do tribute videos for guys that barely did anything for the franchise? The Nets will have one for Kevin Durant. C-Lo went around the NBA last night. Tom Brady was on with Pat McAfee and talked about doing dry runs with Kevin Burkhardt. Gio wonders why Brady wants to be a broadcaster. Everyone is going to hate him. In the final segment of the hour, Gio was getting annoyed at Shaun Morash bashing Oz The Mentalist yesterday. Oz didn’t predict the Jets in the Super Bowl, he read Mecole Hardman’s mind and that’s what Hardman was thinking. Oz will be in the studio tomorrow morning at 8am.

    Hour 2

We continued our conversation about Oz The Mentalist and wondered how he does what he does. Jerry is looking forward to becoming a believer in this stuff. We took calls from people who went to events with Oz The Mentalist and none of us can figure out how he does what he does. C-Lo returns for an update and starts with the Knicks winning their eighth straight. C-Lo said The Athletic has a Jets expose of sorts. He will print it out for Gio . Tom Brady was on with McAfee and talked about getting ready for the booth next season with Kevin Burkhardt. For some reason McAfee never asked him about feeling bad or not for kicking Greg Olsen to the curb. In the final segment of the hour, Ben Johnson is staying as the offensive coordinator in Detroit and not going to be the head coach of the Commanders. Boomer had called it a ‘lock-spot’. Why would he not take the Seahawks job? They have a great organization. And Washington has brand new ownership, cap space and draft picks. There are rumors the Seahawks will hire Mike Kafka. No buzz.

    Hour 3

The Athletic dropped a piece about the Jets dysfunction this morning. They had 30 sources in and around the Jets. A lot of this stuff is not surprising to us as we’ve heard a lot of these things throughout the season. Some of their sources are coaches on the team that said Nathaniel Hackett did not have the offense watching a lot of tape. C-Lo returns for an update but we mostly talked about Gio having no real plans for Vegas. In the final segment of the hour, Gio has to stop going back and forth with Shaun Morash on Twitter about Oz The Mentalist and his spot on Hard Knocks. We also expect Shaun Morash to purposely lose in pickleball to Evan so that Evan can shave his beard.

    Hour 4

The Knicks are on a roll right now and have a legitimate shot to be contending for a championship. The Knicks have guys in place that know what they’re doing and a really great coach. They have figured out the right mix to play with Jalen Brunson. Gio’s middle school Italian teacher calls in as Gio was talking about him earlier in the show. He remembers Gio’s class spitballing him and treating him ‘like horse manure’. C-Lo returns for his final update of the day and starts with the Knicks winning their eighth straight. Evan Roberts ‘needs a stick’ from the Mets. Moment of The Day involves a Jerry slip of the tongue when trying to say ‘Golden Knights’. In the final segment of the show, we talked about connecting earlier this hour with his Italian teacher from middle school.
