    Kaum zu glauben aber es ist soweit: Wir starten in unsere letzte Klausurenphase des Medizinstudiums!
    Nach etlichen Klausuren, Testaten und anderen Leistungsnachweisen werden wir unser (vorerst) letztes Kreuz setzen und das 10. Semester beenden. 
    Doch wo was endet startet auch direkt etwas neues. Justin wird nahtlos in die Vorbereitung für das Staatsexamen übergehen, was ihn vor eine besondere Herausforderung stellt.

    Dr. Lorelei Lingard Ph.D. is an internationally recognized researcher in the study of communication and collaboration on healthcare teams. She is Professor in the Department of Medicine, and Director of the Centre for Education Research & Innovation, both at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at Western University.

    With a Ph.D. in Rhetoric, Dr. Lingard brings a unique approach to the field. For almost 20 years, she has studied the communication practices of clinical teams, in order to support evidence-based educational initiatives to improve teamwork. In recent years, Lorelei has been using her research on teamwork to shift the discourse of ‘competence’ in medical education, so that we are paying attention to not only individual competence but also collective competence. In 2014, Dr. Lingard was awarded the prestigious appointment of Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences, in recognition of the impact of her work on Canadian healthcare.

    Dr. Giza leads the UCLA Steve Tisch BrainSPORT program at UCLA. Eminently qualified, he served as Vice-Chair for the California State Athletic Commission, traveled to Afghanistan in 2011 as a civilian advisor to the Department of Defense and Co-Chaired the American Academy of Neurology’s committee, which developed an evidence-based Practice Guideline for Management of Sports Concussions in 2013.

    Dr. Giza serves on the Center for Disease Control’s Pediatric mild TBI committee, the NCAA Concussion Task Force and the Major League Soccer Concussion Program Committee. He is currently a Professor of Pediatric Neurology and Neurosurgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine and UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital.

    A graduate of Dartmouth College, Dr. Giza received his M.D. from West Virginia University and completed his internship at the University of Pennsylvania. He then trained in Adult and Pediatric Neurology at UCLA, after which he worked on the Yosemite Search and Rescue team. In 1998, he returned to UCLA and joined the Brain Injury Research Center in the Department of Neurosurgery. His research interests include neuroplasticity, recovery from injury, sports-related concussions, post-traumatic epilepsy and brain development.

    Dr. Jason Hugentobler PT, DPT, SCS is a physical therapist on the ortho/sports team at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. He received his Master’s Degree of Physical Therapy from The College of Mount Saint Joseph and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Tennessee. Jason completed the sports residency program here at CCHMC from 2010-2011 and received his Sport Certified Specialist from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. Jason has served on Evidence-Based Practice Teams, lectured regionally and nationally on a multitude of topics including the overhead athlete and concussion. Jason also serves as an adjunct professor at Mount Saint Joseph University teaching the concussion special topics class.
