    29. Oh The Horror!; Part Three

    29. Oh The Horror!; Part Three

Sean, Janson and Sky continue their horror discussion this week with the O.G.'s of Horror -- the SLASHERS.

We're talking Big Mike, Jason, and Fireface Freddy (among others!) Also yes, these are not new villains, just our lame attempt at being with the "cool kids." Translation: Freddy, Jason, Michael, Leatherface, Ghostface -- they all get some love!

Another fun podcast with scares and laughs -- be sure to join in on the conversation!

Halloween - Crap Movie Club #24

Halloween - Crap Movie Club #24

Halloween (2018) is a slasher film where every single bit-part character gets an elaborate backstory so that when they die at the hands of Michael Myers you don't know whether to feel sad, scared or entertained.  Crap Movie Club is a podcast where we create episodes so aimless that you also don't know whether to feel sad, scared or entertained.

    Episode 18 - Halloween Extravaganza Part 8 - Halloween H20: 20 Years Later

    Episode 18 - Halloween Extravaganza Part 8 - Halloween H20: 20 Years Later

In a bold move the next installment of the Halloween franchise, Halloween H20, completely disregards the events of 4, 5 and 6 and presents itself as a direct sequel to Halloween Part 2, which I'm not mad about that whole story line had become really convoluted.  We also see the return of Jamie Lee Curtis which is a nice treat, as well as the introduction of Josh Hartnett.  A decent addition to the franchise we had a good time covering it.

Episode 17 - Halloween Extravaganza Part 7 - Halloween The Curse of Michael Myers

Episode 17 - Halloween Extravaganza Part 7 - Halloween The Curse of Michael Myers

Well we've come to the last Halloween movie before the timelines go all wonky, for better or worse, Halloween The Curse of Michael Myers.  Technically we go through the theatrical cut but we also explain the differences from the original producers cut, which is wildly different and worth a watch, and we also get to talk about the feature film debut of Paul Rudd, and we go super long on accident so buckle up.

    Halloween ('78)

    Halloween ('78)
Once again WDWM goes bump in the night for another horror-themed episode, this time diving into 1978's Halloween. Joing Matt and Tony this week is Halloween first-timer Brian Kaminske. Brian isn't just the designer of the show's kickass logo, he's one of Tony's oldest friends, which begs the question: why didn't Tony make him sit down to watch Halloween back in high school when they were discovering such cult classics as Evil Dead, The Thing, and Dead Alive? As WDWM has proven time and again, better late than never. Everyone has a different take this week, as Brian joins Matt and Tony into exploring their relatonships to Halloween, what makes the movie work, and what types of horror keeps us coming back for scares every October.

    Episode 13 - Halloween Extravaganza Part 3 - Halloween 2 (1981)

    Episode 13 - Halloween Extravaganza Part 3 - Halloween 2 (1981)

Rolling into part 3 of our 6 week Halloween extravaganza we break into the sequel that set the tone for (most of) the other sequels, 1981's Halloween 2.  While arguably not nearly as good as the original we still have a lot of fun talking about the bits we really like and putting a mild shit on some of the bits we don't, and just having a good time with it all around.

    Halloween (1978)

    Halloween (1978)

What’s the most Halloween-y Halloween movie to ever Halloween? Not to get truly wild over here, but we’re thinking it just might be Halloween (1978)! We, of course, had to cover this timeless classic this spooky season! It might always feel like Michael Myers is watching you from the shadows, from the window, or from across the street - and that’s because he is. But from under the bed?! Psh, no he ain’t down here. But we are! So join us, Dust Bunnies...and happy Halloween!

Eryk's Movie Club Ep. 10 The Silence of the Lambs

Eryk's Movie Club Ep. 10 The Silence of the Lambs

Instead of wasting time scrolling through your favourite streaming service deciding what to watch, let me help you out. For the month of October I'll be recommending movies from the Thriller and Horror genres and I'm starting with The Silence of the Lambs. I'll tell you why you should watch this movie and I'll discuss whether or not Dr. Hannibal Lecter is the greatest villain in movie history. Also, the average person has watched how many movies this summer? More on that in movie news.

Halloween Special! House, Fright Night, The Gate, Killer Klowns from Outer Space and more!

Halloween Special! House, Fright Night, The Gate, Killer Klowns from Outer Space and more!

Halloween Special! In this episode, we break down one of their favorite 80’s horror comedy films, HOUSE (1986). Both of us grew up watching this classic cheesy horror movie and decided we should experience watching it together with some pizza and beer (of course, it’s what we do!). The result was some funny banter between us where we talk about the movie in general and our favorite scenes. Later in the show, we talk about 3 other classic 80’s horror movies from the 80’s such as: The Gate, Killer Klowns From Outer Space, and Fright Night. We also show some love to Critters, The Video Dead, and Troll 2. Make sure to visit Spotify and follow the Movies, Music and Beer Radio playlist so you can follow along with our music picks each show.

Happy Halloween from the good(?) folk over at Silver Shamrock. That's right! We're talking Halloween 3: Season of the Witch, the only entry in the Halloween franchise that doesn't feature the iconic antagonist Michael Myers. And what better time to talk about it than on Halloween itself. Special thanks to Brok from Damage Boost for joining us.

    Halloween 2018

    Halloween 2018
With Michael Myers returning to cinema screens, we decided it was a good time to go back and look at all the HALLOWEEN films that have come out since John Carpenter's ground breaking film in 1978. Simon and Keith are joined by filmmaker Alistar Clayton, from Turtle Canyon Media, to dissect the films. We talk about the different timelines, reboots and masks of Michael Myers, and we give our thoughts on the new film. So it's time for you to put on your masks and join us for this special episode. (Just a warning that we go into MAJOR SPOILERS on the podcast of these films, including HALLOWEEN 2018) Movie Heaven Movie Hell is a show where filmmakers Simon Aitken (BLOOD + ROSES, POST-ITS, MODERN LOVE) and Keith Eyles (FEAR VIEW, DRIVEN INSANE, CROSSED LINES) go through the A-Z of directors. Simon and Keith talk about their favourite and least favourite film from that director's body of work.
