    Episode 49 - The Prestige

This week, we watch a film version of a magic trick. With a star studded cast and a great performance by David Bowie as Nikola Tesla, the first viewing experience of this film will likely leave you with your mouth open. The Prestige (2006), directed by Christopher Nolan.

    Sidney Lumet - Deathtrap

    Sidney Lumet - Deathtrap
Sidney Lumet is one of the greatest filmmakers with a body of work spanning six decades. His accolades are as impressive as the list of legendary actors he has worked with. From "12 Angry Men", to his final film "Before the Devil Knows You're Dead", he made films that widely regarded as classics.

In 1982, he took a Broadway hit and turned it into a slick, Hollywood murder mystery; pitting Superman himself, Christopher Reeve, against the brilliant Sir Michael Caine. The result was Deathtrap.

    Interstellar

    Interstellar

    097 - Batman Begins [2005]

    097 - Batman Begins [2005]

After a seven year wait, we finally got another, serious Batman movie. Gone were the campy, toy-sales driven, bat-nipple filled Batman movies. The fans wanted Batman taken seriously and director Christopher Nolan delivered the goods. Set in a much more realistic universe, Nolan gave us a Batman origin story, which was something we'd yet to see. It was a fantastic direction for not just Batman but comic book movies in general. As Bruce Wayne discovers how to be Batman, the movie sets up Scarecrow and Ra's al Ghul as his first adversaries. How does it hold up and what do the guys think of it? What do YOU think of Batman Begins? Let us know!
