    Psalm Chapter 63

    Psalm Chapter 63
There are two words which sound very similar. But spiritually, they are very different. And I'm speaking about the word comfortable, and comfort. You see, today, people want to be in a comfortable situation. They go and they buy a pair of shoes and they want them to be comfortable. That means they feel good right to them. But many times being in God's Will isn't a comfortable situation. It can be very uncomfortable. And here's the key. At those times, what are we called to do seek the god of comfort. It's not by accident or coincidence, that the Holy Spirit He is called the comforter. Likewise, Messiah himself is commanded by God the Father, to bring comfort to his people. So we're not called to seek that which is comfortable to us. We're called to obedience, and in the midst of obeying God, doing His will being where God wants us to be.there are two words which sound very similar. But spiritually, they are very different. Welcome to Joy in the Midst of It All(TM)

Welcome to Joy in the Midst of It All(TM)

Aminah Amarachi - Daughter, Sister, Teacher, Interpreter, Minister, Elder Caregiver, and Student of all things Family and Wholistic Living.

This podcast is being created as a way to both reflect on my own journey as both an elder caregiver (for Our Dad), and a daughter of one parent (Our Dad) that served as the caregiver of his own beloved (Our Mom),  and to offer other family caregivers some of my own insights, lessons, realizations, and blessings gained during my journey, as I learned to embrace both the joy and the junctures of family caregiving.

My prayer is that by sharing my journey with you, that you gains some nuggets, tools and resources that might lesson your own internal and external loads by learning not only how to celebrate those joy filled times, yet also navigate, embrace, and honor those hidden moments of joy within our caregiving junctures, as well as how to take care of your self, first and foremost, along the way.

My intention is to publish a episode each 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month, which are not much longer than about 20 minutes, with the exception of when a guest joins me on the show. Why? Because caregivers spend so much time already juggling both theirs and the one they care for schedules, I want to allow them the time and space to tune in, take note, and enjoy each episode, so that they leave feeling refreshed and empowered to continue forward along whichever path their caregiving journey leads them.

Remember, there is always a place, along our caregiving journey, to embrace, champion, and celebrate both the junctures and the joys, while taking the best care that you can, in any given moment, of both yourself, and your loved on.

Thanks for taking time out of your journey to tune in to this podcast.  I look forward to you joining me on this “Joy In the Midst of It All,” podcast journey. I look forward to this podcast being a space and a place for caregivers to be acknowledged for giving their best in the midst of it all.

I'm your host, AMINAH. And, I want you to remember to...

        Be Blessed, And Less Stressed...Why?

Because both yours and their lives depend on it.  Have a great day.

The Shepherd's Love For His Wayward Sheep

The Shepherd's Love For His Wayward Sheep

Did you ever have that feeling that God had abandoned you when you were facing a difficult trial?
Maybe you wandered from your faith and felt like He left you or gave up on you?

In this episode, I share a story of when I was around 6-8 years old and wandered away from my mom in a department store; and how this event compares to the parable that Jesus told of the Lost Sheep in Luke 15.

Many times we feel that God leaves us or ignores us during hard times or even when we make mistakes and pick up old habits, but that isn't the case. There are many scriptures that tell us that He is always there and never left us.

Just as with the lost sheep, Jesus as that Good Shepherd knows where we are even when we feel lost, abandoned and afraid. He never took his eyes off us and was watching out for us.

It may not have felt like that when you went through a difficult situation and may not have turned out the way you hoped, but God still is wanting the best for us and cares enough to go get us and bring us back to the fold.

Just as a parent, we care for our children and don't want to see them hurt; but we have to at times allow them to face trials and even get hurt. That is when we step in to restore and bring healing and help to them, much like God, our Heavenly Father, does for us.

King David referenced many of his Psalms about God as a shepherd, because that was what he could relate to as a child and watching over his fathers flock.

    Scripture references:
    Psalms 23:1,4
    Luke 15: 4-7
    John 14:16
    Matthew 18:20
    Matthew 28:20
    Matthew 1:23
    Isaiah 7:14
    Isaiah 58:9
    Hebrews 13:5

Church Without Walls - Kingdom of God in Your Midst - Audio
**(We apologize, but there was a minor issue with the audio and the first few minutes were silent/hard to hear)** God's plan was always to live among us. Unfortunately, the pride of humanity ruined those plans. Man &Woman decided to rebel and go their own way. Throughout the rest of history, God was working to get his people back on board with his plan. He established his spiritual kingdom here on Earth, through Jesus, with the overall goal of bringing his people back to him so they can again live with him in his Eternal Kingdom of Heaven.
