Cat Bear: The Cat Bear Intro for today’s topic. …
Oh that song just makes me cry. Today’s topic is the Jets. And now, here’s your host, Gail Nobles.

GN: The Jets are a family band from Minneapolis, Minnesota. They started performing as a family band in 1977. The group enjoyed worldwide success in 1985–1990, performing three world tours, and producing five top-10 hits on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. They are known for songs like Crush On You, You Got It All, Curiosity, Cross My Broken Heart, and Make it Real.

I want to talk about “You Got It All”. It’s a beautiful song. It was released in 1986 as the fourth sing from their debut studio album, The Jets (1985). It was written by was written by Rupert Holmes.

“You Got It All” peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US in early 1987. The song also topped the adult contemporary chart for two weeks, and reached number two on the R&B chart.

I used to sing “You Got It All” over and over again in my high school years. I loved the music and especially the saxophone played by Eddie Wolfgramm. I loved the video too. It was also made beautifully. Holmes wrote beautiful words, and Moana Wolfgramm which is the lead singer and her sisters and brothers in the group are excellent vocalist and musicians. They got it all. They do it all. They are a talented blessed family band.

“You Got It All” still gains occasional airplay on radio stations in the U.S. Does the group still sing? According to Wikipedia as of 2022, there are two touring groups of the Jets. The Jets and The Jets Original Family Band.

I’m Gail Nobles. You’re listening to the Cat Bear, and thank you for listening.
