    All-On-4 Dental Implants

In this episode , we discuss All-On-4 dental implants, a revolutionary new way to provide highly-successful, permanently-supported dentures for patients.

All-On-4 dental implants are a type of dental implant that can be used to support an entire dental bridge or just one tooth, depending on the patient's needs. The implants are made of titanium and are surgically placed into the jawbone. Once the implants have healed, a crown or bridge is attached to create a new tooth or set of teeth.

All-On-4 dental implants offer several benefits over traditional dentures, including:

    • They are more affordable.
    • They can be placed in patients with minimal bone loss.
    • They are more stable and allow patients to bite with more force.
    • They are the closest thing possible to natural teeth and are brushed and cleaned like regular teeth.

In this episode, we discuss the following:

    • What are All-On-4 dental implants?
    • How do All-On-4 dental implants work?
    • What are the benefits of All-On-4 dental implants?
    • How are All-On-4 dental implants different from dentures?
    • What is the recovery period for All-On-4 dental implants?
    • What are the next steps for someone interested in All-On-4 dental implants?

    Opinions Are Like…

    Opinions Are Like…

In this episode of Navigate the Day, we explore the power of our opinions and how they shape our reactions to events in our lives. Using a quote from Epictetus, we learn that bad luck, conflict, blame, and frivolity are not inherently good or bad, but rather our opinion of them determines how we feel about them. The journal prompt asks us to reflect on whether we need to have an opinion about certain things in our lives.

The host shares a personal story about their dental circumstances, which they have strong opinions about. They are anxious about the upcoming months and years as they have to wear dentures permanently. However, they realize that holding onto these opinions is causing them to react poorly to the situation. The quote from Epictetus reminds them to focus on what's in their control and to let go of opinions that lie outside of their own reasoned choice.

While some opinions are important, it's important to focus on what's in our control and to let go of opinions that cause us unnecessary stress and anxiety. By sitting with our thoughts and figuring out what we do have control over in a situation, we can navigate challenges with more ease and peace of mind. So let's remember that opinions are like...something that we can choose to hold onto or let go of in order to achieve greater peace and control in our lives.

Why Does Bruce Willis Have a Missing Tooth? The Dementia and Tooth Loss Connection

Why Does Bruce Willis Have a Missing Tooth? The Dementia and Tooth Loss Connection

In today's episode, we'll be discussing the recent celebrity smile news about Bruce Willis and his missing tooth.

Bruce Willis, the famous actor known for his roles in movies like Die Hard and Armageddon, has been making headlines recently because of his recent dementia diagnosis. However, footage of Bruce Willis’ 68th birthday celebration set off alarm bells after fans noticed that the star appeared to be missing a tooth in the video.

The touching clip had been posted by the 68-year-old’s ex-wife Demi Moore on Sunday.

While the whole family was in great spirits, some fans pointed out the actor appeared to be missing one of his front teeth.

One person wrote on Twitter: “Bruce is missing a tooth,” while another asked: “When did Bruce lose a tooth?

Others were happy to see Bruce surrounded by the love and support of his family, brushing off the comments from other users.

Another wrote: “That family is going through hell on earth right now, and we can’t even fathom what’s going on in Bruce’s mind. I think the tooth is irrelevant.”

As a dental professional, I couldn't help but wonder about the possible reasons behind his missing tooth.

One reason that comes to mind is the fact that people with dementia are more susceptible to dental problems due to reduced saliva production and difficulty following an oral hygiene routine. Tooth loss is also a common problem among older adults, with one in six Americans over the age of 65 lacking natural teeth, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Interestingly, recent research has found a link between tooth loss and an increased risk of dementia. A study conducted by researchers at New York University Rory Meyers College of Nursing found that adults with more tooth loss had a 1.28 times higher risk of being diagnosed with dementia.

So, what can we do to prevent tooth loss and maintain good oral health? It's important to practice proper oral hygiene habits, including brushing twice a day, flossing regularly, and visiting the dentist for regular checkups and cleanings. Additionally, if you wear dentures, it's essential to clean them properly to prevent oral
