The Missouri Agri-Business Development Team (ADT) provides a micro-grant (an amount not to exceed $5,000) to a poultry farmer in Nangarhar, Afghanistan to expand his business. Noor Agha's business is a source of stability and employment in his home town. The last Missouri National Guard AH-64A Apache attack helicopter left Whiteman AFB, Mo. earlier this week. The Missouri National Guard was first activated to respond to a deadly tornado that ripped through the town of Joplin on May 22, 2011. One year later, the Guard remains on mission in the southwest Missouri town as rebuilding continues in the area.

This special program is part of a new Missouri National Guard initiative to educate and inform the people we serve, roughly 6 million Missourians, as to who we are and what we do. The initiative, often referred to as "Guard TV," is an effort to better tell the story of the service and sacrifice of the Citizen Soldiers and Airmen of the Missouri National Guard. This program examines the history of the Missouri Guard, explains our dual mission (federal and state), and chronicles recent efforts of one of America's top military forces, both at home and abroad.
