Some gems Baruch lays out.  

1. Judaism is not Torah Observant today. Those who claim to be Torah keeping need to be aware that over 250 "laws" or instructions are related to the Temple being in place. Thus, no one is a true Torah Keeper.  

2. There are many versions of Judaism in the US. 3. The "Law" is a unit. If we cannot keep the "law" with no temple in place so then the whole law is "broken." We can learn much about spiritual truth, and that should be our focus when studying the Torah.  

4. We all must base our doctrine on the Word of God and our study with the Holy Spirit. We should not follow men.  

5. We are saved by grace alone, through faith alone as Abraham was.  

6. In Ephesians 2, the penalty and the debt we owed to God was paid by our Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ.  

7. How does Christ fulfill the law? Watch the video or listen.  

8. We must be careful not to disparage a group or church in our process or compare ourselves over other Christians. Keep our eyes focused on Christ.  

9. Sabbath is a day of rest. We worship God EVERY DAY, ALL DAY.  

10. The whole Bible is available to us, and we need to learn how to handle the Word of God rightly.

Here we are! We are finally finishing  the Book of Leviticus. In this week's episode, we will be covering the special holy years, i.e. the Sabbatical Year and also The Year Of Jubilee. Then in chapter 26, we shall see final covenant promises that God gave to the Israelites. If they took heed to His Word, He would bless them-- but if they rebelled against his commands, they would be sent into exile. We will look back and reflect on many of the lessons that we have learned from the narrative of God's people being delivered out of their captivity, and journeying towards the promised land. Then we will get through the final four chapters of the book-- all of which cover the final stages of the tabernacle's construction. Within today's episode we will read through the famous narrative of Israel's apostasy-- as they abandoned the covenant that was established with God, in order to worship a golden idol constructed by Aaron. This is no doubt a much darker portion of the Scripture, yet it is filled with many important life lessons, which we can learn a lot from. What was the response of Moses, when he saw the rebellion of the Hebrew people? More importantly, how did God respond to this great apostasy? What were the punishments that God put upon the Hebrews subsequent to their sin? All of these details and many more, will be covered in todays podcast teaching.

We discuss the nature of the Temple in light of the Mosaic and Abrahamic Covenants. We talk about how the Temple was about the way we relate to Yahweh (God) and how the Temple showed us how unworthy we were. We then discuss how all that changed with Jesus' death on the cross. We then compare the Biblical understanding of the Temple with the LDS Temples that have nothing at all in common. We talk about where much of the LDS Temple ceremonies come from and how they have nothing to do with what happened in the Temple in the first century.
