Matt, Logan, and Bill get together to check the pulse of boys hockey in the Twin Cities at roughly the mid-point of the season!

Starting at (4:53), they discuss the Northwest Suburban Conference with an interesting race between Rogers, Maple Grove, Andover, and Centennial at the top, along with improving squads in the middle of the pack that have made it arguably the State's deepest league. At (17:18), they discuss Shakopee asserting themselves as favorites atop the South Suburban Conference after a gritty road win in Rosemount, and look back on Lakeville South's recent dominance of the league in years past.

They also discuss the talent on display at Gentry Academy, who are making a strong case as a No. 1 seed in Section 4AA despite being iced out by the competition (22:09) and discuss heavyweights Wayzata, Edina, and Benilde all blocking each other for one State Tourney berth in 6AA.

Finally, they round out the show with some basketball observations concering Spring Lake Park, Shakopee, and Jack Robison of Lakeville North as part of their "notes from the field" for the week (35:27)!

On the final episode of the pod in 2022, Logan, Matt, & Bill look ahead at some key holiday season matchups in both boys basketball and hockey!

Starting with hoops, they discuss last Saturday's nightcap at "The Big Stage" in Osseo as No. 1 Park Center retained their crown with a victory over 2nd ranked Lakeville North (2:15) and how the Pirates' program culture has a new look squad firing on all cylinders. Also discussed are teams out to hot starts, including Shakopee, Farmington, East Ridge, and Andover.

As they head to the ice starting at (24:17), they discuss the rotating carousel at the top of the boys hockey rankings, including who will come back in 2023 as the top ranked Class AA team in the State. They also talk about a huge rivalry matchup between St. Thomas Academy and Cretin-Derham (26:40), and Matt breaks down a Section 2AA thriller that went to overtime last week between Shakopee and Chanhassen (28:54). Logan also discusses last week's Lakeville rivarly game (32:20).

Before a conversation with Walt Weaver, the now assistant volleyball coach for the Lakeville North Panthers, Matt, Logan, and Bill reconvene to set you up for Week 8 of High School Football!

Topics discussed include Lakeville South's big win over Shakopee and where the Cougars rank among the 6-7 teams that could win the 6A title this year (4:50)! The interview with Walt Weaver starts at (43:28). The Panther assistant coach talks about one of the best stories in high school sports this year as longtime head coach Jackie Richter returned to the Panther bench following brain surgery.

Before a conversation with Park Baseball Head Coach Dave Darr, Matt, Logan, & Bill preview all three State Tournaments getting underway this week, including a breakdown of the boys lacrosse (7:54) and girls lacrosse (19:45) brackets, and their shortlist of title contenders in each.
