The late 1800’s and early 1900’s saw the boats flourishing with immigrants from Sicily headed to the United States of America.

Looking for the American dream and a better life, most of these men had criminal pasts and continued this path while entering America.

The Sicilians joined forces with New York Jewish mobsters. A couple of the top forces in the Jewish mob were Meyer Lanksy and Benjamin Siegal but you may know him as Bugsy Seigel.

Now enter the man who created one of the most feared and respected associations throughout time.

Charles Lucky Luciano had an idea to abolish the boss of bosses and split it into 5 families: the Gambino family, the Lucchese family, the Genovese family, the Bonanno family and the Colombo family.

This idea would create the gang to be more organized with the goal to rule New York and establish a National crime syndicate.

After  the assassination of the boss of bosses Salvatore Maranzano and other mafia members who didn't like the idea of working with non Sicilian gangsters, Lucky Luciano was free to establish a multi ethnic but mostly italian and jewish alliance with the jewish mob and with his close friend Meyer Lansky.

The commission would now be formed if you don't know what the commission is. The short story, it consists of the bosses of the five families as a ruling committee. The purpose was to oversee all mafia activities in the United States and to serve to mediate conflicts among the families.

Kristie Stark Interview Melissa Marshall and Toni Stark. Toni (7 yr old) is just learning about the bible and Melissa wants to know what she has already learned with a series of questions, which ended with laughter. Kristie tells Melissa how her almost - two year old son Bodhi, will not give up his bottle, even if there is no milk in it. Melissa, who has multiple sclerosis, is trying out golfing again for the first time since her diagnosis.
