Adnan Rashid | Dawah in the Age of Doubt | ReRooted

The companions of the Prophet Muhammad [peace be upon him] were the best of generations, and the dawah work they did was exemplary. They have left a lasting legacy of Islam through their efforts, by the will of Allah.

In this episode, Adnan Rashid gives us a glimpse into some of their amazing stories. We hope you can glean lessons from these, enough to realize their way of declaring Islam with compassion and mercy is still just as relevant today as it was some 1400 odd years ago.

Welcome to the 26th Episode of ReRooted, marking one year of the show. God is the Greatest.

    Moosa Salam | The Philanthropist

    Moosa Salam | The Philanthropist

In this weeks ReRooted, Musa Adnan has Moosa Salam (Michael Nsubuga) on the show. When Moosa Salam converted to Islam, the faith gave him a strong personal connection to charity and helping the less fortunate. Moosa decided to start a small side project with his mates, giving away high-quality trainers to at-risk teenagers and the homeless. After the horror of the Grenfell fire in 2017, they gave away extra donations to those who had lost everything. But in the years of his philanthropy, Moosa noticed that the quality of donations – particularly clothes – were not up to scratch. Feeling ’embarrassed’ to hand over tattered items, Moosa decided to change the nature of his offerings. What happened next was nothing short of beautiful. Find out on this weeks ReRooted.
