We wanted to get John on the show because he is an avant-garde maker who has fiercely forged his own path. From his old corporate days to now teaching sewing at a local college and running a farm, John is defiantly himself in the most beautiful and infectious way.

If you're not from North Carolina, then you may not be familiar with the MST. The Mountains to Sea Trail is a 1,175 mile trail that runs East-to-West across the sate, from the Outer Banks to the Great Smoky Mountains. This is a prize of the state that boasts breathtaking scenery, historical landmarks, and brings economic focus to more remote parts of the state.
