What is the importance of ‘Questioning’ in a democracy? In this episode of ‘Opinion’, Mr. Sujit Nair gives a thought-provoking differentiation between a democracy and an autocracy and the importance of ‘Questioning’. Mr. Nair opines that if you deprive a population the right to ask questions, the population is as equal to a slave, which also is deprived to ask questions. 

The Adani-Hindenberg row is a political hot potato in India. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has been attacking BJP and Prime Minister Modi over his alleged closeness to the businessman. He has even accused the Prime minister of trying to defend his alleged Businessman Friend. In the parliament too, Congress demanded a JPC to probe the allegations levelled by Hindenburg on Adani. In this, Congress also received support from other opposition parties. Congress was able to bring as many as 19 opposition parties together over this demand. and that's why when NCP chief sharad pawar said that he believes Adani Group is being “targeted” by unknown entities with questionable motives, it left Congress red faced. But why did Sharad pawar say that? what's the reason behind it? and how did Congress react to it?

A few days ago, the Karnataka govt stripped the Muslim community in the state off 4% Backward Class quota in government jobs and education. On March 30, the government notified a decision taken by the cabinet to scrap the 4% backward classes quota for Muslims — they have been recognised as a backward class in Karnataka for more than 100 years — and to reallot the Muslim OBC quota to the two most dominant communities in the state, Lingayats and Vokkaligas. The changes in the reservation norms kicked up a major political storm in a poll-bound state. So much so that it also appeared in the meeting of 17 representatives of Muslim community with Home Minister Amit Shah. However, Amit Shah said that confusion is being spread and Pasmanda Muslims will continue to get reservation in Karnataka and clarification in such regard will soon be should by Law Ministry,

Telangana BJP president and MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar was detained after midnight on Wednesday from his residence in Karimnagar ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the state. Reportedly, a team of police reached the MP's residence in Karimnagar and took him into custody, reported news agency ANI. 

"Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has been disqualified as Lok Sabha MP a day after a Gujarat court sentenced him to two-year jail in a 2019 defamation case. The Wayanad MP was convicted over his ""why all thieves have Modi surname"" remark. The notice from LokSabha secretariat says ""Consequent upon his conviction by the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Surat in C.C./ 18712/2019, Shri Rahul Gandhi, Member of Lok Sabha representing the Wayanad Parliamentary Constituency of Kerala stands disqualified from the membership of Lok Sabha from the date of his conviction i.e. 23 March, 2023 in terms of the provisions of Article 102(1)(e) of the Constitution of India read with Section 8 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951."" However, the Congress is up in arms over disqualification of Rahul Gandhi. Party members gathered this morning outside party

 आज बात करेंगे बीजेपी के संकट की जो देश के तीन राज्य कर्णाटक, मध्य प्रदेश और छत्तीसगढ़ बढ़ता जा रहा है. यहां आने वाले वक़्त में चुनाव होने है लेकिन इन राज्यों में बीजेपी सत्ता में आएगी या नहीं इसको लेकर खुद बीजेपी के अंदर की असमंजस है.. सबसे पहले बात करेंगे कर्णाटक की, जहां बीजेपी की सत्ता है. यहां आने वाली कुछ ही महीनो में विधानसभा का चुनाव होने है. लेकिन आरएसएस के इंटरनल सर्वे के अनुसार बीजेपी यहां सत्ता में नहीं लौटेगी. कर्नाटक में BJP 20 जुलाई 2019 से सत्ता में है। इन 4 साल में उसे एक बार मुख्यमंत्री बदलना पड़ा। 28 जुलाई 2021 से यहां बसवराज बोम्मई CM हैं। कर्नाटक में फरवरी में RSS ने एक सर्वे रिपोर्ट BJP को सौंपी है। इसमें उसे 70 से 75 सीटें जीतते बताया गया। बहुमत के लिए 113 सीटें जरूरी चाहिए।

 I discuss India's recent discovery of 5.9 million tonnes of lithium in Jammu and Kashmir, which gives India the third-largest reserves of lithium in the world after Chile and Australia. While this is excellent news, the video highlights that India's lack of manufacturing plants means that it cannot take advantage of this discovery yet, & it’s estimated that it will take 5 to 7 years to convert these reserves into commercial use. India needs to invest in infrastructure and technology to extract & utilize these reserves more efficiently. If India can get things right, this discovery could fuel the country's ambition for a greener future.

उद्धव ने कहा है की भाजपा से अलग-अलग होकर नहीं लड़ा जा सकता। अगर सभी विपक्ष दल समय पर अलर्ट नहीं हुए और एक साथ नहीं आए तो 2024 का लोकसभा चुनाव देश का आखिरी चुनाव साबित होगा। उन्होंने यह बातें सामना मैगजीन में लिखी हैं। उद्धव ने आगे कहा कि 2024 में विपक्ष का प्रधानमंत्री कैंडिडेट कौन होगा? यह बाद में भी तय किया जा सकता है, लेकिन सबसे पहले एकसाथ बैठकर चर्चा करना जरूरी है। इसके लिए कांग्रेस को पहल करना चाहिए। उद्धव के साथ जो कुछ हुआ है इसकी जानकारी इस वक़्त देश के बच्चे बच्चे को है. उनके हाथ से सत्ता और पार्टी दोनों चली गई है. उद्धव के साथ से सत्ता जाने का सन्देश के साथ एक सन्देश गया है की क्या विपक्षी पार्टियों को तोड़कर, ED IT का डर दिखाकर केंद्र की सत्ताधारी बीजेपी लोकतंत्र को ख़त्म कर रही है? 

उद्द्योगपति गौतम अडानी एक बार फिर से गरमा-गरम राजनीतिक बहस के बीच में हैं. अडानी को लेकर विदेशी अरबपति जॉर्ज सोरोस (George Soros) के बयान ने बीजेपी और कांग्रेस को साथ ला दिया है. इस विडियो में हम जानेंगे कि कौन हैं जॉर्ज सोरोस और उन्होंने अडानी को लेकर ऐसा क्या कह दिया कि देश में खलबली मच गई है? 

 खबर है की भारत में दुनिया का दूसरा सबसे बड़ा लिथियन का भंडार मिला है। भारतीय भूवैज्ञानिक सर्वेक्षण (GSI) के मुताबिक जम्मू कश्मीर के सलाल-हैमाना इलाके में करीब 5.9 मिलियन टन लिथियम भंडार है. ये खोज भारत के लिए रणनीतिक रूप से काफी महत्वपूर्ण है..इस खोज से भारत की बैटरी इंडस्ट्री दुनिया में छा जाएगी. साथ ही इस खोज से भारत की ज़रूरतें भी पूरी हो सकती है. आज हम लिथियम बैटरी के लिए दूसरे देशों पर निर्भर रहते है. हम हमारी ज़रूरत का 80 प्रतिशत लिथियम आयरन बैटरी चीन से खरीदते है जिसके चलते हमारे यहां इलेक्ट्रिक व्हीकल काफी महँगी है. तो ये एक अच्छी खोज है. 

योगी आदित्यनाथ की सरकार ने जो झटका दिया है वो प्रीपेड इलेक्ट्रिक मीटर के कॉन्ट्रैक्ट को लेकर है. अमर उजाला में प्रकाशित ख़बर के मुताबिक़, यूपी सरकार की इकाई मध्यांचल विद्युत वितरण निगम ने अदानी समूह की ओर से स्मार्ट प्रीपेड मीटर लगाने का टेंडर निरस्त कर दिया है. उत्तर प्रदेश में क़रीब 2.5 करोड़ प्रीपेड स्मार्ट मीटर लगने हैं. इनके लिए 25 हज़ार करोड़ के टेंडर हुए हैं. इसमें मैसर्स अदानी पावर ट्रांसमिशन के अलावा जीएमआर व इनटेली स्मार्ट कंपनी ने टेंडर का पार्ट दो हासिल किया था. इन्हें कार्य करने का आदेश जारी होने वाला था, लेकिन इनके टेंडर की दर को लेकर विरोध होने लगा. टेंडर के प्रस्ताव के मुताबिक़, हर मीटर की क़ीमत क़रीब नौ से 10 हजार रुपये पड़ रही थी. जबकि अनुमानित लागत छह हज़ार रुपये प्रति मीटर है. 

हिंडेनबर्ग की रिपोर्ट आने के बाद से ही अडानी की स्तिथि ठीक नहीं है. अडानी दुनिया के टॉप 20 अमीरों की लिस्ट से बाहर हो चुके है. रिपोर्ट के आ जाने से अडानी के शेयरों में करीब 60 प्रतिशत की कमी देखने मिल रही है। और अडानी पर जो आरोप लगे है उसके बाद लोग बोहत कुछ कह रहे है. लेकिन अडानी को लेकर क्या करना चाहिए ये मैं आपको बताना चाहिए। सबसे पहली बात ये है की जो लोग अडानी का विरोध कर रहे है या फिर समर्थन कर रहे है या सरकार और विपक्ष जो बयानबाजी कर रहे है उन्हें ये समझने की ज़रूरत है की अडानी ग्रुप अब सिर्फ गौतम अडानी या उनके परिवार तक सिमित नहीं रह गया है. अडानी ग्रुप अब लाखों निवेशकों की कंपनी बन गई है. हम और आप जैसे लोगो ने उसमे निवेश किया है. अगर अडानी ग्रुप बर्बाद हुआ तो लाखो लोग भी बर्बाद होंगे. इसलिए जो कदम उठाने होंगे वो सकारात्मक तरीके से उठाने होंगे 

असम के मुख्यमंत्री हिमंत बिस्वा सरमा (Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma) ने सोमवार को कहा कि राज्य मंत्रिमंडल ने बाल विवाह के खिलाफ ‘बड़े पैमाने पर राज्यव्यापी अभियान’ शुरू करने का फैसला किया है। हिमंत बिस्वा सरमा ने कहा कि लिए गए फैसलों में 14 साल से कम उम्र की लड़कियों से शादी करने वाले पुरुषों पर POCSO अधिनियम के तहत मुकदमा चलेगा। उन्होंने कहा कि इसके अलावा सभी ग्राम पंचायत सचिवों को उनके गांवों में बाल विवाह की घटनाओं के खिलाफ प्राथमिकी दर्ज करने के लिए जिम्मेदार बनाया जाएगा।
