Kevin Fiala Trade Analysis w/ Pete Weber & Michael Russo

Kevin Fiala Trade Analysis w/ Pete Weber & Michael Russo
The LA Kings acquired Kevin Fiala from the Minnesota Wild on Wednesday in exchange for Brock Faber and the Kings first round draft pick in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft (19th overall). Pete Weber, play-by-play for the Nashville Predators, joined Jesse Cohen and Zach Dooley to talk about Fiala's time in Nashville and the type of player he was at the beginning of his NHL career. Then Michael Russo of The Athletic and Jack Jablonski join Jesse Cohen to talk about Fiala's time with the Wild and what his trade to LA will mean for the Kings.

How Do You Sleep After That

How Do You Sleep After That

What a fun few days of playoff hockey! Jeff and Elliotte recap the impressive comeback performance from the Toronto Maple Leafs (1:50) and the excellent finish in Edmonton between the Oilers and Kings (7:25). They also discuss the Carolina-Boston series (14:00) and the Blues-Wild series (15:50). The guys wonder what the off-season looks like for the Nashville Predators (25:40), if the Penguins have one more win in them (20:25), can the Capitals upset the Panthers (22:15), and have the Flames found their scoring touch (23:40).

Plus, Jeff presents Elliotte with an interesting trade (Elliotte hates it, but it’s interesting) and they add a bit more context to the Barry Trotz situation (36:10).

Music Outro: Cam Maclean - Sunshine

This is a short episode that I did mostly off-the-cuff. I hope you get your fill of jetpack-wearing-flightless-birds.

Fingers crossed the Pens can get a point or two out of this one, as it looks like the Caps might indeed have gotten the better of the B's on home ice in Washington...
