As the game of basketball grows, so does its entertainment value, and as that continues to grow, the interest of the fans tends to grow. Unfortunately for the NBA that hasn't exactly translated to great numbers over the last few years, but with the introduction of outside leagues like "The Big 3" and "SlamBall" we can't help but wonder if these new leagues will bring healthy competition to the NBA and whether or not the fans will return.
With that said, a lot of negotiations have been going on in the NBA world, with a new CBA recently being agreed upon, the introduction of a brand new "Flopping" Technical Foul Rule, and the possibility of team expansion with Seattle and Las Vegas being eyed for new-ish (in the case of Seattle) Franchises.
Either way, we as super fans of the sport hope that the community and sport in it's purest form can bring back the fan base so that we don't have to see the implementation of weird gimmicks in order to see the sport succeed. Which side are you on? Is progress for the sake of entertainment a good thing? Or should an age-old sport be left as it is so that future fans can appreciate its origins? See you next week!
