This week on the Daly Dose, it is nearly the Fourth of July, and we discuss all of the festivities that will be taking place here in the USA!
NBA free agency got started this week, and we saw some major shifts in the league. Are the Brooklyn Nets truly going to be the big winners? Are the New York Knicks already proving to be losers? And what are the Golden State Warriors doing?
Then, we hand out our 2019 NBA season end awards! We hand out our own Rookie of the Year...as well as the NOT Rookie of the Year! We hand out awards for the best coach, worst coach, most improved player, least improved player, Most Valuable Player, Least Valuable Player and many more!
Finally, we discuss whether all of the NBA free agency signings will be positive for their new teams, and we have some proof they won’t! Today, we count down five of the worst NBA free agent signings in history!

We wrap up every move from Day 2 of Free Agency. First, the now 4-way trade with Jimmy Butler sign-and-traded to Miami involving Portland and the Clippers, then roll through the rest of the league’s signings and trades, like Dallas, Golden State, Philly, Sacramento, Chicago, and Washington. Plus, a look at the Knicks’ plan with team options for 2020 on these 2 year deals and some quality minimum signings. Nate is the player agent and Danny, Dan, and KP split up the 30 teams to find homes for all the key free agents. In part 3, we see the remainder of the teams fill out their rotations and use their cap exceptions, as the backup point guard market and backup center markets sort out, while the remaining restricted free agents find homes as well.

Then we all give our biggest takeaways from the process, including what surprised us, what was realistic and unrealistic, which teams and players did well or poorly, and the biggest regrets in the negotiations.
