"She Gave us More Room to Grow and Discover and a Safe Place to Fail" With Guest Actor, Producer and Director, Russell Andrews

"She Gave us More Room to Grow and Discover and a Safe Place to Fail" With Guest Actor, Producer and Director, Russell Andrews

In addition to film and tv acting, Russell is passionate about theatre and stage acting. With over thirty years of experience, he's now written his first book titled, "Shoes," and it is a significant story because it mirrors his youth  and his relationship with his mother.

As one of the founding members and producing artistic director of "Stagewalkers Productions",  based in Los Angeles, CA,  it gave the younger generation with creative, artistic and acting backgrounds to have a home base to sharpen their acting tools.  It was a safe place for those who were interested in developing their craft of acting or any theatre related topic.

Speaking with Russell was so easy. His rich stories of his childhood with his family  are so intriguing.  Born and raised in Huntsville, TX, then his family moved  to Houston.  You'll hear stories of Blanche Williamson who hired Russell's grandmother as a domestic and then Ms. Williamson hired Dorothy. "Blanche was a friend of the family, beyond being an employer," Russell recalls. "The Williamson family was so loving and  generous they were like family." Working with this lovely family allowed Dorothy to make her way  through Nursing school at Alvin Community College and so much more. Russell says "that she, (meaning his mother),  changed the trajectory of what was know in my family."

All of the wonderful memories and lessons of his mother that Russell  recalls have been passed onto his two children. To this day, he recalls how his mother could laugh at herself, tackle anything without fear, and how she was full of hope and optimism.

Don't miss a minute of this conversation.

And thanks so  much for  listening.

NCIS Hawai’i | Kacy: The Homoeroticism is Canon
Hard to believe it’s our 5 year anniversary this month and the OGs are back together to celebrate. We have some water cooler talk about the writers strike and why it’s important for LGBT fans to support. We then dive into an unofficial oral history of gays in procedural tv which leads to all things Kacy and how they’re queering the procedural by flipping old queerbaiting tropes into the canon main romance of NCIS Hawai’i, the lesbian situationship that broke the fandom, and of course all the little things that caused one of us to fall in love with them. HAPPY PRIDE!

Welcome to the Henrietta Mass Murders, the updated timeline. Today we revisit the Henrietta Mass murders timeline. Season, true crime enthusiast or a fresh face in the genre, we guarantee to keep you on the edge of your seat. So put on your detective hat, grab your notepad, and get ready to dive into the thrilling world of body of crime.

On May 1st, 2023, there were seven bodies that were found at the McFadden residence in Henrietta, Oklahoma. Those seven bodies included Jesse McFadden, Holly TenneT, l McFadden, his wife, her three children, Riley, Elizabeth Allen, Michael, James Mayo, Tiffany Dogue, and then two friends who came to sleepover with Tiffany.

Ivy, Berlin, Webster and Brittany Cheyenne Brewer. This was pretty crazy guys. And the reason is this, just to give you kind of a quick recap, and that's that what started out as a slumber party and two girls being reported missing ended in just an atrocious working of the case from beginning to end, which hasn't ended by far because when they were found it was a murder suicide.

Jesse had killed everybody and then shot himself in the mouth. Um, they were all shot in the head. Um, if you want some of those details, we provide those details in the Slumber Party Massacre podcast that we did, so you guys can go check that out. Um, we won't be going over all those details today. That's just really just gonna be the timeline.

Now, since then, what has come out and what has come to light since the release of our last post on that particular case is the autopsies came back. We're still digging into the autopsies just because there's some fishiness going on in terms of time of death, in terms of, uh, toxicology reports that came back clearing everyone of mostly everything.

I'm saying that pretty much everyone was, was clean, with the exception of, of one or two people. But we're just continuing to dig. And so this new updated timeline is really to drive additional content around the history of this case from, from beginning to end. What's new, crystal? Yeah, what's new? There's a lot of new stuff, so, which is actually kind of requiring us to kind of go back through everything.

So if you didn't get a chance to catch from the last timeline that we did, we might have gone into some details a little bit more in that one. I'll at least say that, and we're not gonna get into the nitty gritty in this one other than where the updates are. I'm gonna start off in 1983. 1983. I was 11 years old.

I was one. So in 1983, between 83 and about January, 2004, LaDonna Jean McFadden, who's Jesse's mother, she moved to Oklahoma to the address that we know as 90 41 Redbird Drive in McAllister, Oklahoma. If you've heard anybody speak about where he grew up, where they say he had dirt floors, he lived in a trash trailer.

That's this address. If you were to pull it up online, it's pretty sad what you see. August 23rd, Floyd Gene McFadden, who is McFadden's maternal grandfather, changes the resident agent on his business account in Wichita, Kansas. He had a company called Wichita Fence Company. A lot of records are missing, so we can't confirm whether there was a sell of shares or what occurred there.

But the change occurs only within a day of McFadden's birth. 1983, Jesse Lee McFadden. A Virgo is born to LaDonna Jean McFadden at the age of 18. She would've been pregnant at 17. Up until now, we were unable to find his birth certificate. We were unable to find any relationship that LaDonna McFadden had that would've indicated a possible father.

And there was actually some speculation that possibly his maternal grandfather was actually his father. One of the things that McFadden had mentioned to Kaitlyn Bab, who was the victim in the pending case when he was released from prison, is that she knew that he had mentioned that the father was much older, but from all indications he didn't know who his father was.

So we did a lot of digging and we believe that we have found his father. And they're a spitting image of each other. Truthfully, it's uh, shocking. It's very shocking. We believe his name is Burl Alton Blair, he would've been 44 when McFadden was born, and LaDonna would've been 18 years old, a 27 year difference.

So what do we know about Alton Blair, if that is Jesse McFadden's dad, like what do we know about him? Who is this guy, this mysterious guy? Why is he important in this situation, in this conversation? So for starters, all indications lead to the fact that him and LaDonna are currently married. She just didn't take his last name.

The last record that we have is dated August 1st, 2021, and they're listed as husband and wife, and it was through a sale of property. Why this is so important and so important to the case is that we've been speculating that there's been some corruption within the justice system somehow. Some way that allowed for McFadden to be released in the manner that he was and.

To have ended up in this tragic event where these children should not have lost their lives. And this guy is very well connected and he has a lot of money and he could have applied a lot of pressure. He could have paid a lot of people off. And so that is why this man is very important to this case. I know there's been a lot of questions and a lot of speculation in terms of Jesse's legal team and who he had as an attorneys and the fact that he'd been in jail since he was 19.

He was indigent when he went to jail. He got a public defender when he went to prison. So who was paying for these lawyers and who was paying for all these uh, extensions for like over six years of paying for these lawyers to continue to kick the can down the road? Who was footing this bill? Cuz it definitely wasn't LaDonna McFadden.

So just to give you guys some background on who we've already spoken with concerning this case, we've already done a podcast with McFadden's First Survivor, crystal D Strong. And we are prepping to do a podcast with his second survivor, Caitlin l Bab. Can you tell me a little bit about this guy? This, uh, this Alton, this, this Alton Blair?

What is it that we know about him? Like you said, he was 44 when he would've gotten LaDonna pregnant with Jesse. Yes. So right now he's in his eighties. He owns more than 400 restaurants across the us. He definitely would be able to pull some strings and pay some people off. Absolutely. For sure. His business is called Donut Palace, and there are a lot of them.

He also sells kitchen equipment, that kind of stuff, and does a number of other different things. So he may not be a Jeff Bezos, but he's up there. He's not a small fish in this case for sure. I know that a lot of people have been really trying to connect dots where it came to pageant thinking that somehow pageant the pageant family was connected somehow some way.

And we're very big on releasing things that we've vetted and we don't wanna smear anybody's name, who obviously, regardless of their indiscretions aren't truly part of this case. And as of today, we have not found any connections with the pageants, and truthfully, in this sc...

Act One Podcast - Episode 33 - Interview with Screenwriter, Paul Guyot.

PAUL GUYOT has written and produced more than 200 hours of television. His work includes the JJ Abrams created FELICITY, the Emmy-winning JUDGING AMY, and LEVERAGE for TNT which won back-to-back People’s Choice Awards. Guyot served as Co-Executive Producer on THE LIBRARIANS, including taking over all showrunning duties for Season Two. After that he served as the Co-Executive Producer for NCIS: NEW ORLEANS -- at the time the 8th most watched series in the world. He has written pilots for multiple networks and studios including his original pitch THE BLACK 22s -- based on the true story of the first all African-American squad of detectives in St. Louis, MO -- which sold in a fierce bidding war between four networks. The series died in development hell, but Guyot retains all rights to the story and is currently developing a feature film with award-winning screenwriter Geoffrey Thorne.
Guyot co-wrote the Warner Brothers feature GEOSTORM starring Gerard Butler and Andy Garcia, which grossed more than a quarter billion dollars worldwide. But don’t hold it against him. His spec feature TIME BANDITS was optioned by Slated and is presently out to some of the top directors in Hollywood. Currently, Guyot is developing COLONIE 07 for French television, one of the first American screenwriters ever hired to do so. He is the author of several award-winning short stories, and his bestselling DARE TO LIVE -- a serialized story on Amazon’s Kindle Vella platform -- was chosen as a Top 200 favorite out of more than 17,000 stories.

In May of 2022 Guyot launched http://screenwritingtruth.com -- a website dedicated to helping emerging writers learn the truth about Hollywood and a career in screenwriting.
Guyot attended the University of Arizona. In his non-writing time he enjoys cycling, golf, mechanical watches, and his quest to find the perfect old fashioned.
