The 2018 Devilman adaptation by Masaaki Yuasa that has plenty of dread and body mutilation to earn the horror tag from us. This anime is full of horrific scenes, societal commentary, and overall badass-ness, all wrapped up in some of the most unique animation the medium has to offer!

The LAST ANIME REVIEW of the first ever season of the ANIME NOISE PODCAST. This week we breakdown the music from a super gory, very philosophical sci-fi thriller called Parasyte: The Maxim. This ""Netflix original"" is based off the award winning 80's manga Parasyte by Hitoshi Iwaaki. Rumors claim that the main character, Migi, could have been inspired by a real life medical condition called "Alien Hand Syndrome" where the sufferer has a hand that acts on its own without the person's control. Crazy, right?

Anyway, although we weren't huge fans of how OST 1 was used in context with the anime, OST 2 kicked ass and we had piles of notes about this score and the spectacularly challenging art of film scoring for anime.

It has been such a pleasure reviewing anime with you all for an ENTIRE YEAR! And although this is the last review, FEAR NOT my fellow weebs! We're going out with a bang and starting a brand new tradition... the ANIME NOISE BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!

This week, the professors subject themselves to a 2021 Netflix anime called "High-Rise Invasion", and frankly....it's cemented as one of the weakest Netflix shows in years. With weak characters, sloppy writing, and contrived events making the show feel like a cash grab, this is one show that nearly.....just nearly....approaches " Worst of Weeb" territory.

An anime television series adaptation of Dorohedoro was announced in the December 2018 issue of Shogakukan's Monthly Shōnen Sunday magazine released on November 12, 2018.[66] The series is produced by MAPPA and directed by Yuichiro Hayashi, with Hiroshi Seko in charge of series composition, Tomohiro Kishi designing the characters, and (K)NoW_NAME composing the music. It premiered on January 12, 2020 on Tokyo MX.[6] The opening theme "Welcome to Chaos" and the series' ending themes "Who am I ?", "Night SURFING", "D.D.D.D.", "Strange Meat Pie", "SECONDs FLY" and "404", are performed by (K)NoW_NAME.[10][67][8] It ran for 12 episodes, and six OVA episodes will be bundled with the series' second Blu-ray release.[68]
