Boomer & Gio Podcast (WHOLE SHOW)

Boomer & Gio Podcast (WHOLE SHOW)

    Hour 1

NFL free agency should really get going today at noon. Russell Wilson met with the Giants but is signing with the Steelers. Gio thinks it’s going to work out for him in Pittsburgh. Boomer reminded us how competitive the AFC is, so to think Wilson is taking them deep into the playoffs is probably not likely. Kirk Cousins is going to hit free agency and many have him going to Atlanta. Boomer keeps saying Zach Wilson is going to the Vikings, but he’s probably saying that just to annoy Gio. Jerry is here for his first update and starts with Baker Mayfield staying with the Bucs. The Knicks only scored 73 points in their loss to the Sixers. Knicks players said they, ‘played like s***’. Cream Abdul-Jabbar (Robbie Avila) and Indiana State lost to Drake. There was some pushing and shoving between LSU and South Carolina in women’s basketball. Wilmer Flores pitched for the Tigers against the Mets. It’s former Mets player Wilmer Flores’ brother. They have the same name. There are two more brothers also named Wilmer Flores. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer talked about Ariana Grande’s outfit at the Oscars. Gio wonders why Ryan Gosling never brings his wife to things like the Oscars. John Cena was naked with an envelope over his private parts.

    Hour 2

Gio was at a St. Patrick’s Day party at someone’s house and ‘Little Boomer’ was hired to play a leprechaun. What are the Jets going to do in this free agency period? How much will they tweak the lineup? The Vikings want to keep Kirk Cousins but he is going to want huge money and a lot of people think he’s going to Atlanta. With Mac Jones just being worth a sixth round pick, what is Zach Wilson worth? What about Justin Fields? If you’re bringing in Fields, you are bringing him in to start. The Raiders would be a fit and the Falcons would be a fit if they don’t go with Cousins. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Knicks losing again, this time only scoring 73 points. Juan Soto hit another spring training HR, his fourth. Gio wonders if the Islanders are ‘peaking too early’. In the final segment of the hour, Shannon Sharpe claims to have made $6 million on YouTube from the interview he did with Katt Williams. It had more than 60 million views. Boomer talked about how great it was to work with Shannon Sharpe and said off the air he was hilarious and had a ton of great stories. A caller wonders what the Jets are going to do for a backup to Aaron Rodgers.

    Hour 3

We announced another Boomer & Gio Live Show, ‘With Cheese’, on Friday, May 3rd at White Eagle Hall in Jersey City. Tommy DeVito will be with us and we are going to make Shaun Morash into a giant chicken parm. Boomer said there will probably be another Matt Rempe fight tonight in the Rangers/Devils game. We are trying to get Brandon Tierney involved in the show but we haven’t received confirmation from him. Jerry returns for an update but first we talked about the Bucs re-signing Baker Mayfield. Jerry has audio of Shannon Sharpe talking about Russell Wilson to the Steelers and Chad Johnson said he knew that already. What will the Bears do with Justin Fields if they draft Caleb Williams? The Knicks lost again and somehow only scored 73 points. Madonna was mad at a fan who was not standing up at the show. She was in a wheelchair. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about Russell Wilson going to the Steelers. He’s not going there to back up Kenny Pickett. Maybe that’s why he’s not going to the Giants. Maybe they told him he would be Daniel Jones’ backup.

    Hour 4

Will we find out today where Saquon Barkley ends up? Gio doesn’t think so, because there seem to be four teams in the mix. It’s hard to get a feel for what the Giants are doing this offseason. Boomer thinks the quarterbacks in the draft will go in this order: Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels and Drake Maye. They will be off the board by the time the Giants get to their pick at six. Jerry returns for an update but first we talked about the Barrett Sports Media summit. We talked about Caitlin Clark and how her going to the WNBA is bad news for college basketball. Wilmer Flores has a couple of brothers all named Wilmer Flores. And his son is named Wilmer Flores. The Moment of The Day involves our upcoming live show and how we want Brandon Tierney to be involved. Eddie goes through his Tierney drops. In the final segment of the show, we are working with Shaun Morash for our next live show instead of Peter Schwartz. Tommy DeVito is going to make him into a human chicken cutlet. Last year during the bike tour, a guy who works for Boomer’s foundation fell off his bike and ‘ripped his scrotum’.

Last night Jalen Brunson knocked knees but x-rays were negative. Of course, x-rays were negative on Aaron Rodgers and we all saw how that turned out. Gio thinks if the Knicks won a championship it would be the biggest one the city has ever seen. Boomer wonders if there’s a shoe out there that’s attributing to achilles injuries in the NFL. C-Lo is in for Jerry and is here for his first update and starts with the audio of Brunson’s knee injury on the MSG broadcast. Caitlin Clark is now the leading scorer in NCAA basketball history, beating out Pistol Pete. Gio said you can’t compare the two. They both did amazing things but to treat them as equal accomplishments doesn’t make sense. C-Lo went around the NBA and NHL yesterday. Boomer & Gio Podcast (WHOLE SHOW)

Boomer & Gio Podcast (WHOLE SHOW)

    Hour 1

Jerry is in for Boomer today so it’s Gio & Jerry. We start with the news of Kodai Senga’s injury and how baseball players are always injured and how frustrating it is for fans. Gio said the Mets have given no reason for the fans to care this year. Jerry disagrees and says there’s intrigue for him. Gio thinks the Mets will win 75-80 games but there are no expectations. The MLB uniforms continue to be a discussion point as you can see their privates through their see through pants. C-Lo is here for his first update but first we talked about his Aruba hoodie that screams tourism. We heard from Senga through his interpreter. The Knicks beat the Sixers 110-96 in Philly. In the final segment of the hour, Gio was enjoying the lyrics to Luke Combs’ ‘Where The Wild Things Are’. Gio was disappointed to read that it was not about Combs’ brother, just some random guy.

    Hour 2

We come out of break with ‘Out Where The Wild Things Are’ by Luke Combs, the song that Gio thinks he got duped listening to. We turned our attention to the Knicks and Julius Randle and surgery still being on the table. They beat the Sixers in Philadelphia and Spike Eskin was there ringing the Sixers Liberty Bell. C-Lo returns for an update but first Gio said this has been a slow week, probably because the kids are home. Spike was at the Sixers game ringing the Liberty Bell and then the Knicks beat them. Hal Steinbrenner talked about still looking to improve the team but nothing is imminent. Gio said, on paper, this is the worst Mets rotation. A caller said Evan Roberts claims to have never BBQ’d.

    Hour 3

A couple at the Mavericks game called Kevin Durant a ‘bitch’ when he came out of the locker room for shootaround. He approached them and was nice enough to tell security not to throw them out. The loser guy said, ‘I have a podcast’. C-Lo returns for an update, but first Fat Perez called in while traveling in Virginia. In the final segment of the hour, C-Lo gets to actually do his update and starts with the Knicks win in Philly last night. Kodai Senga is going to miss the start of the season, and Jerry wonders why the Mets wouldn’t sign a guy like Jordan Montgomery. Tiger Woods’ son did not do great at his qualifying event, but he was being followed and he really needed more security at the event for him.

    Hour 4

We talked about the Mets season and the first series which is at home against the Brewers, in what Gio is calling a ‘David Stearns revenge spot’. Gio wonders if fans will want to go to that Brewers series if it’s cold, as it surely will be. A caller compares Steve Cohen to a ‘two pump chump’. A caller said Evan Roberts has made it by having his in-laws live with him. He has a chef and a constant hall pass to go to games. Boomer & Gio Podcast (WHOLE SHOW)

Boomer & Gio Podcast (WHOLE SHOW)

    Hour 1

Jerry is in for Boomer so it’s Gio & Jerry today. We start with the fact that we are never going to get the audio from the Andy Reid/Travis Kelce sideline argument. Inside The NFL did not show it, they just glossed right over it. Gio said if it was George Kittle and Kyle Shanahan, we would have seen and heard the audio. The NY Post hired a lip reader who claimed Kelce said, ‘hey c’mon you F’er, put me on’. Why is the NFL keeping the audio from their audience? The NFL seems to be protecting Taylor Swift’s boyfriend.  C-Lo is here for his first update and starts with Aaron Judge meeting the media and talking about his toe. Judge also thinks the Yankees could make another move in getting another player. In the final segment of the hour, Jaromir Jagr was honored in Pittsburgh and he talked about his girlfriend being too young to remember he played there. She is 29, he is 52.

    Hour 2

We continued talking about Jaromir Jagr and the time a woman tried to extort him by taking a pic of herself in bed with him, and he was like, just post the pic. Gio also wondered why, when celebrity penis pics emerge, they are always large. And yet, we know what the average size really is. Also, does penis size make you more or less confident? Gio said when he was younger he and his friends would talk about donating sperm for cash. Gio said he would have regretted doing that since you would have kids running around. Eddie said that would not bother him at all since they are not ‘his kids’. C-Lo returns for an update but first we took a call from a guy whose life is spiraling right now. I mean, you wouldn't believe it. C-Lo has audio from the Yankees at spring training. Sean Marks also talked about Kevin Ollie and firing Jacque Vaughn. Gio thinks Marks is gone at the end of this season. In the final segment of the hour, a family tried to go to the Islanders/Rangers game at MetLife, but his tickets were already scanned. Gio bought a fake ticket to the Aaron Boone Game.

    Hour 3

The ratings for the NBA All Star Game were actually up this year. Gio thinks the all star games get talked about because nothing else is going on in sports at the time, so talk show hosts talk about how bad the games are. But the reality is, if you like it, you watch it. If you don’t, you don’t. Gio thinks it’s just because there’s nothing else going on that it seems like it’s a big deal. Gio said kids love watching the all star game festivities. It’s the older generation that hates it and complains about it because it isn’t like it was when they were kids. A caller has a great Billy Joel ticket scalping story. C-Lo returns for an update and starts with Rafael Devers of the Red Sox calling out the front office for not getting enough players. We got an update on Lenny Dykstra’s health after the stroke: he’s surrounded by ‘hot nurses’. Jameis Winston was on Pardon My Take to talk about Mike Evans and people who grow up around water. In the final segment of the hour, Chris McMonigle is co-hosting with BT today. A 41-year old man calls in who just found out from 23 And Me that his dad is not his dad.

    Hour 4

Neuralink has been implanted into the first person. Gio wonders what they had to pay that person to be first. C-Lo returns for his final update of the day and he plays audio of an update guy making his first appearance with Mike Francesa back in the day. Charles Barkley talked about hating Skip Bayless so much. He also hates San Francisco. The Moment of The Day involves sperm donation and what if Eddie fathered kids. In the final segment of the hour, we play audio from a 25 year old Gio, while working with Steve Somers, messing with Bill the baker.

Boomer & Gio Podcast (WHOLE SHOW)

    Hour 1

We talked about the NHL Stadium Series this weekend at MetLife. The Islanders suffered a brutal loss which could lead to some players being traded, including Boomer’s son in law, Matt Martin. Gio wonders how the family reacts when Matt gets into fights during games. What teams could Matt end up with in a trade? Gio would love to see him go to the Rangers. The NBA All Star Game ended 211-186, so, yeah, no defense. Peter Schwartz is in for Jerry today and is in for his first update. He started with the Islanders loss at MetLife yesterday. The Islanders will host All Star Weekend in 2026. Rick Pitino called his players, ‘unathletic’ and ‘slow, laterally’, after their loss to Seton Hall. In the final segment of the hour, we talk about the viral video where a subway cello player gets hit on the head with his own metal water bottle.

    Hour 2

After their loss to Seton Hall, Rick Pitino said this is the worst experience of his coaching career. Boomer brought up a tweet from Rick Pitino, who was criticizing Mike Tannenbaum for talking about a trade scenario that involved Daniel Jones for Deshaun Watson. He wanted the Giants to get Jones protection and to have ‘patience’. And then he calls his own St. John's players, ‘unathletic’. Gio doesn’t like that he didn’t seem to take any accountability. Peter Schwartz returns for an update and starts with the Rangers beating the Islanders at MetLife Stadium. Matt Martin was interviewed after the game and Boomer was a part of the question. Peter is wearing a 5XL Islanders hoodie today. The NBA All Star Game ended 211-186. So, no defense. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer was locked into WFAN this weekend. He called in to TB & Sal on Friday and then into Brian Rascona’s show on Saturday. A caller says Boomer & Gio saved his life when he was looking up ways to commit suicide.

    Hour 3

An adult autograph seeker went after Breece Hall at Newark airport for not signing for him and Carl Banks had to step in. We also talked about the fight between Matt Martin and the Rangers rookie. Peter Schwartz returns for an update and Gio is jealous that Peter is able to enjoy things in life that Gio can’t. Peter goes to everything ‘that would show up on a library’s calendar’. Peter starts with the Rangers beating the Islanders in OT. The NBA All Star Game ended 211-186. St. John’s lost to Seton Hall and Rick Pitino said this has been the most unenjoyable experience in his coaching career. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about Tiger Woods withdrawing from the Genesis Invitational. We are not buying into the Tiger conspiracy theories.

    Hour 4

We took some calls and a Flyers fan wants to know why Boomer hates them so much. Boomer has an answer. Peter Schwartz returns for his final update of the day but first a caller wants to know if he ever had breakfast at ‘Jenny’s’. That’s where we’re at folks. We get a call from a guy who was there when Boomer last pooped in public in 1985. What a walk down memory lane. Peter starts with the Rangers beating the Islanders at MetLife Stadium. Peter said he would like to interview Al Michaels and Hulk Hogan. In the final segment of the show, we talked about Peter Schartz’s positive outlook on life and how happy he seems. Gio said there’s a lot of scuttlebutt about who is getting Spike’s job.
