Adi Kunali's Journey & Discipline from Refugee to NFL to CEO

Adi Kunali's Journey & Discipline from Refugee to NFL to CEO
Adi Kunalic joins Pro Mindset host Craig Domann to share his journey and experiences about moving to the U.S. from war-torn Bosnia as an eleven-year old, earning a college football scholarship at Nebraska, getting his shot in the NFL, and currently being CEO of Opendorse, a sports social media marketing company that matches companies and brands with athletes. Opendorse is built on the foundation that athletes have significantly more engagement value than companies because people on social media will stop their strolling way more often for faces than logos.

Adi talks about how sports teaches you that entitlement doesn't matter and nothing is owed to you but rather you have to earn everything you get. If you take an entitlement approach and complain about your circumstances, then you will find out no one listen or cares about you. Instead, Adi believes you should take the "hardest worker in the room" mentality to everything you want to accomplish and that's what he does.

He also shares his convictions about practice, preparedness and repetition. Adi shares his mindset about how much practice counts and sometimes people forget that practice really matters. When he played kicker, his mindset was to practice, practice and practice more so he got lots of repetitions thus he was prepared for any situation, could block out the noise and focus on his job.

Adi's company is Opendorse headquartered in Lincoln, NE. Adi and his best friend, college roommate and teammate, Blake Lawrence, co-founded Opendorse in 2013.

He mentions one of his secrets to success is getting up at 4:30am every day to start his day.
