Episode 19: Should You Ditch the Niche in Marketing?

Episode 19: Should You Ditch the Niche in Marketing?

You’ve heard it all before. If you don’t “find your niche” or narrow down the “right group of people” to market to, you’re going to lose out in business.

However, I am going to say something very different to you today.

    Ditch the niche.

Stop focusing on this “right type of client.”

Instead do what my client family members and I do: Focus on transforming people's lives. Period. End of story.

Don’t worry about if they are your exact target audience. Simply concentrate on the task at hand, impacting your fellow humans in a positive way.

Worry about one breakthrough at a time with the person in front of you. A family member, a friend, a colleague, a neighbor - what if you just decided to focus on helping them as individuals, instead of putting yourself in a box of your “ideal client?”

You would probably do a lot more breakthrough sessions and help far more people.

This is what will make the biggest difference.

Many Ecom newbies dream to grow their stores into huge brands like AliExpress, Amazon, and Walmart. This is indeed possible; however, pushing your business to its highest point is so incredibly difficult, especially with the competition.

But there is one strategy to make it work! You can start niching down your store and scale your business to the moon.

What is a niche Ecomerce store?
A niche store, or a brand store, is a store focused on a specific niche. By creating a niche shopify store, you’re able to target a specific audience and speak directly to them, and sell them products that solve their biggest problems.

By starting a niche Ecommerce store, you could offer products that specifically solve the specific problems of your target audience. This sort of approach builds a loyal following of customers that come back and buy again and again.

    Shopify General Store VS Niche
Building a niche Shopify store is different from building a general store. The latter is is quite a common way for people to start in Ecommerce and it's also the most common model recommended by Ecommerce "gurus."

The problem with a general Ecommerce store is that you’re just testing ads and products and trying to find something that sticks. People aren’t going to come back and buy again and they’re not really engaging with a brand.

A lot of Ecommerce beginners will start with a general store and then create a niche store based on the products that worked, but doing this is like putting the cart before the horse.

But in this episode, I'm going to convince you why starting a Shopify niche store is the best approach for beginners. Learn how to build a niche Ecommerce store, to spend much less on ads, and grow your store quickly!
