Ennek apropóján beszélgettek S. Miller Andrással a Sláger KULT-ban.

Sláger KULT – A természetes emberi hangok műsora

Cinematic Icons: There’s So Much Movie In This Movie

Cinematic Icons: There’s So Much Movie In This Movie

Half of the conversations amongst our team start with, “Hey, you should watch…”

This was one of those times.

Caleb encouraged our team to watch Nine, the 2009 musical starring Daniel Day-Lewis. With Nine putting so much focus on the production of a film and the cast, crew, and coordination necessary to pull it off, as well as the protagonist’s doomed relationship with a character played by Marion Cotillard, Ben struck up a familiar conversation, “Hey, you should watch Inception.”

This episode is brought to you by comparative analysis as Ben, Caleb, and Larissa discuss Nine and Inception. The title of this episode comes from Larissa after watching Nine, “there’s so much movie in this movie.”

The Black Mirror is the subject of this episode’s Spotlight. Our guest is Chad Chenowith. He is introduced around the 53:16 mark.

'Nobody could see how sad I was'

Warning: This episode discusses depression, suicide and drug abuse

Nathan went into year 12 thinking it was going to be one of the best years of his life. But the pandemic stole all the normal rites of passage and he was left struggling with depression. Depression is a serious mental illness. It can feel like you're in a black hole and like there's no hope or joy. For Kaara, it was a case of masking her depression with recreational drugs and reckless behaviour. Meanwhile Ava found the usual advice for dealing with depression frustrating and unhelpful.

This episode explores how the three of them found their way through. And their most important message? You are not alone.

Episode 9: Step Into New Beginnings

Episode 9: Step Into New Beginnings

Happy New Year! In this episode, we discuss our dislike for New Year's resolutions. New Year's resolutions can feel unobtainable and unrealistic. Why are we only setting goals when a holiday tells us we should? We can make goals for ourselves throughout the entire year. We have the whole year to better ourselves and make positive changes to our lives. A new year brings new excitement and a blank canvas. Paint your picture the way you want to. We are all able to become our own masterpieces.
