The Bettor’s Box MLB Betting Podcast October 6, 2020
The Bettor’s Box train kept rolling on down the tracks on this October 6 edition of the best baseball betting podcast in the business. Host Adam Burke opened up the show with a great offer for the NBA Finals from BetMGM Sportsbook and then shifted the focus to the MLB playoffs. He talked about what we saw in Game 1 for the ALDS between the Yankees and Rays and the Astros and A’s and then discussed what he expects for the rest of those series.

The NLDS series have not yet started, but Marlins vs. Braves and Padres vs. Dodgers get underway today. Adam discussed how he would approach betting on these two series, including some thoughts on what could be some high-scoring games between two of the teams. Adam outlined the advantages and disadvantages for each team and how you can use those to make pregame wagers or to use some live betting lines to your benefit.

Episode 50 - John Farrell for Carlisle Manager

Episode 50 - John Farrell for Carlisle Manager
With all the excitement of the playoffs, the team has managed to do very little awards research, so they are put on the back burner once again in favour of Divisional Series chat. John asks Ben and Darius about all four series, touching on such matters as the formidable Dodgers, the outstanding Jose Altuve, the Stephen Strasburg will-he-won't-he start furore, the implausibility of Jon Lester's successful pickoff, and the demise of Cleveland. Ben tries to defend himself for actually liking the Yankees, and the trio also ponder the reasons for John Farrell's firing, bringing about a trademark John diatribe against the Boston sports media. Listener questions about using starters out of the bullpen, and why wildly exuberant American fans are featuring on MLB UK instead of properly reserved British fans.

Quick Take: Cubs look dead and shock us all, plus looking ahead

Quick Take: Cubs look dead and shock us all, plus looking ahead
Still trying to put into words what happened the night before, Ryan and Isaac get together and discuss the events of Game 4 and Game 3. That includes questionable decisions by Joe Maddon, brilliant decisions by Joe Maddon, and how things were feeling in the Giants series heading into that fatefull ninth inning.

Later, the guys run down the tentative pitchers for the NLCS matchup that could feature either the Los Angeles Dodgers or the Washington Nationals and give their pick for the best opponent for the Cubs.

We look at what happened and give instant reaction, talking about Jeff Samardzija, Wood's homer, Kyle Hendricks' early exit, and looking ahead to the Bumgarner/Arrieta matchup in game three and the likelihood of the Cubs closing out the series.
