    EP #3 | Walk-on to Scholarship: Shavar Reynolds - Seton Hall / Monmouth University Men's Basketball |

    EP #3 | Walk-on to Scholarship: Shavar Reynolds - Seton Hall / Monmouth University Men's Basketball |

Shavar Reynolds was a former walk-on at Seton Hall University in 2017, before earning himself a scholarship after his freshman year in the program.

Each year he slowly climbed the ladder at Seton Hall; going from freshmen walk-on, to sophomore year on scholarship, to 6th man and main defensive stopper junior year, to starting point guard senior year.

Shavar speaks with charisma, confidence and the ultimate belief in himself throughout the episode about his journey from the underdog walk-on to the scholarship player who showed he really belonged there and how it all unfolded for him.

    Shavar talks about:

    • The differences between being a walk-on & a scholarship player and what changed
    • Hitting the buzzer beater vs. St. John's
    • How much being around Myles Powell helped his game
    • His decision to transfer to Monmouth University
    • His goal to play in the NBA & what NBA player he models his game after the most!

Make sure to listen to the intro so you can hear the story be tied together in the outro to hear how Shavar's lone season with Monmouth came to a close, by host, Noah Buono.
