    The Sleeping Dream Seems Real.

    The Sleeping Dream Seems Real.

In the sleeping dream the character seems real, but what is going on in the dream is just happening.   Do you think it is in charge of the dream, or itself and what is going on there?  It is not in charge, but it will tell you it is. It all just happens. In the dream, the awake character disappears, its gone, and another one arises in the sleeping dream. Come to see what is actually going on.

That, That You Are Looking For, You Already Are.

That, That You Are Looking For, You Already Are.

Its already here, where else would it be?  There is only here, there is only now, all the time.  From that premise, we start to identify what we are not, instead of I am a person and now I am going to discover who I really am.  The only place duality arises, is in the mind of a human being, Outside of this, there is no such thing as duality. It is only the mind that says, “I am a person” Me is just a notion that arises in mind.

    What is Not Just Happening

    What is Not Just Happening

What’s  not just happening?  The aim of that particular pointer is to eliminate the seeming doer.  There is not a me that is trying to make stuff happen, or not make stuff happen, or trying to see that everything is just happening.  All that too, is just happening.

Social Worker of 20 Years, Roeland Jaspers, Shares Insights From His Work In Drug Rehabilitation Programs

Social Worker of 20 Years, Roeland Jaspers, Shares Insights From His Work In Drug Rehabilitation Programs
In today's episode, I've just had a really interesting conversation with Roland Jasper's, he's a social worker with over 20 years of experience. He developed a particular interest in helping young people and particularly young people recovering from addiction. We talked about what rehabilitation looks like and what experience is it for people. We also went on a bit of a journey where we realized that we're kind of all in rehab, even though we may not be in a specialist facility, because the process of rehabilitation is about learning new skills and learning new skills specifically to create better outcomes and better decisions to problems in our life.

What Can A Mind Actually Experience?

What Can A Mind Actually Experience?

What Can A Mind Actually Experience?

A thought can’t be conscious of this, it cant experience this here now.  Mind can only see now as an increment, why, because mind works dualistically.
Now cant be recognised or experienced  by a me.  Me is nothing but word, a concept.  A word is just a label,  all words, are just labels. Then what mind does, because of the way  mind works, dualistically, it takes the label to be the thing, and its just a label.
The word Me, is that not a label?

All There Ever Is, Is Now

All There Ever Is, Is Now

All there ever is, is now.  There is no such thing as the past, no such thing as a future.

This now is recreating itself now, constantly. Everything is bursting into existence right now.
Everything we think we know, is based on an assumption, not a fact, an assumption, or a belief.  If there is only now, what can you compare now with.  Direct experience is always just now.  Anything mind says is a story, not related to direct experience. Can the mind experience this present moment?

It Feels Like Awareness Is In The Body, The Truth Is, Its Literally Everywhere.

It Feels Like Awareness Is In The Body, The Truth Is, Its Literally Everywhere.

It feels like awareness is in the body, the truth is, its literally everywhere. This seeming personal me that you take yourself to be, must be seen to be an imposter.  When you are stuck in your me, that seems like a tall order because me absolutely feels like it here.   Its right there, that awareness and consciousness becomes finite. Do we really have any idea how profound conscious and awareness is?

    Thoughts Are Not Aware

    Thoughts Are Not Aware

How can a thought be conscious?  It's so easy to overlook the fact that thoughts aren't aware.  So what is thought basing its story on?  It's pure fabrication, like a dream at night.  The personal 'me' will never get this.  Don't go to the mind (thought) for answers.
Just don't go there.  Full Stop!  - Terrence

Author & Former Diplomat, Charlotte Dune, Shares Her Journey of Discovering How Micro-dosing Psychedelics Cured Her of Depression & Addiction

Author & Former Diplomat, Charlotte Dune, Shares Her Journey of Discovering How Micro-dosing Psychedelics Cured Her of Depression & Addiction
This episode is about Charlotte Dune, Charlotte is an author and an extremely fascinating person. She has an amazing story that totally surprised me. It blew me away that as a very young diplomat she came out of a hippie hillbilly family, which was really a massive contrast. She has a journey that is not the ordinary kind of struggle we face in life. She lived in an environment where she had many challenges to do with her work, relationships, and addiction. She found a solution to her struggles a solution that has been around for thousands of years, she started using plant medicine in a therapeutic way. We also touched on some fundamentally deep and human places of love and peace that we are all looking for. And so I have to say this episode's a real journey.

    Always Trust Direct Experience

    Always Trust Direct Experience

Trust your Direct Experience, not mind. You don't need mind to know your Direct Experience.  As you observe Direct Experience you'll eventually lose interest in the mind and you'll become interested in 'This' - Awareness.  You are 'This'  - Terrence

Trying to Find our Actual Self.

Trying to Find our Actual Self.

The me becomes a seeker, trying to find your actual self.
This awareness that we are all experiencing right here, right now, is not the me experiencing that.

    There is Only Now

    There is Only Now

What can you tell me about the immediacy of now?
What can you possibly compare now to?
Mind makes up a past and future, show me something from the past, or the future.
In the absolute now, the mind is in abeyance. Become aware of the mind that overlays a big story about now.

    Who Am I

    Who Am I

In this recording we look at the question “Who am I”  “What am I”

There is an assumption that there is a me, a person here and we have never even investigated, we’ve never really looked.  What goes with the idea that I am a person, is that I have free will.  We look at thoughts and investigate how all seeming problems arise in the mind.

Addicted at the Age of 8! Alex Shares How His Life Fell Apart, & The Healing Power Of Connection & Being Understood.

Addicted at the Age of 8! Alex Shares How His Life Fell Apart, & The Healing Power Of Connection & Being Understood.
This episode is a conversation with Alex, he runs the Cold Turkey podcast and I just want to say that the journey he took us on was a journey of how he accidentally became addicted to being high at a very young age.  You could say it happened by accident. As a result, this crept into his life and became disruptive and destructive, continued over many years until he came to what he calls The Cold Turkey moment, which was quite traumatic. You will discover how he began to experience his healing, which really came through the camaraderie of others and being able to share mutual experiences in conversation through the 12 step program. Alex also shares how learning more healthy emotional skills create real freedom and deeper healing.

Author & Addiction Specialist, JF Benoist, Shares How Feelings and the Observing Mind Are Keys to Freedom From Addiction.

Author & Addiction Specialist, JF Benoist, Shares How Feelings and the Observing Mind Are Keys to Freedom From Addiction.
So today's episode is with a special guest, JF Benoist.  We have discussed that a lot of our addictions and lack of freedom is really coming from pre-programmed ways of operating he calls this the monkey mind.  We then further explores a way of becoming free from our monkey mind and actually having real choices about how we respond. This starts with taking notice of the body, becoming aware of the act of the body and the feelings and the body. It is kind of like a portal into understanding what our deeper motivations are or perhaps some of our mistaken beliefs about a situation or ourselves. This can actually cause us to react in ways that really aren't appropriate to the situation and cause suffering in our lives for ourselves and others. So J.F. suggests you start with the body, become aware of that, and in that process, he calls it the observing mind. By strengthening and developing this ability to work with the observing mind, we can develop real freedom where you get to accept yourself. You get to see the truth of yourself. You get to actually be present for others and not resist or hide or be victim to feelings of shame or guilt and fear allowing you to really develop. This is a step-by-step way to develop more freedom in your life and I guess a richer life because you become more open to the richness of what's already present within yourself and around us. So I really recommend that you take the time to listen to this whole episode and you will also hear where he gives an example of an exercise that you can do and experience the reality of what he's talking about.
