Dan and Erik review music from The Kundalini Genie, The Internet and Iowa City's Sound Science. We also talk almost endlessly about Satan, and Faster Pussycat.
I think my conversation with this week's guest -- artist, musician, and designer Chris Burnett -- is probably the most chill interview I've done this year. Don't be fooled though -- Chris is a creative dynamo, and someone you should definitely keep your eyes out for in the future. We start off with a quick talk about the creative scene in Los Angeles, and from there he talks about being an artist at heart and how his current editorial design projects have been keeping him active. Chris also talked about growing up as a skate kid, attending Cal Arts, and scoring lucrative gigs including a stint with Nike, as well as designing for Odd Future. Chris calls himself a creative superhero, and if you trust your heart and spirit, so can you!

Today we stay mostly on topic again. We talk about rappers who fell off and go over the difference of fell off, drop off and chillin. We talk about some one hit wonders in rap. Also how Rap groups don't last and just are not a thing anymore. Then how we are hispanic for the holidays. November and December we embrace our actual heritage.
Armond & Doc return for the beginning of their conversation breaking down Tyler The Creator's new album 'Call Me If You Get Lost' track-by-track, in true Clock Radio Speakers fashion.

Dan and Erik talk about the band Clutch and how they both agree their first three albums were masterpieces. They also talk about albums from Caleb Landry Jones, Arca, Public Image Ltd., Sleaford Mods, Earl Sweatshirt and Built To Spill that they were each into last week. Plus a whole lot of nonsensical speak between the two which has become a regular part of the show. Join us in another episode where once again you can explore the minds of Dan and Erik. Oh, we also speak in third person for a couple seconds, It's fun!!!
Welcome to the 34th Episode of the Shonen Tapes! Today, to go along with the theme of groups, our own Shonen Tapes group discusses their favorite groups in Hip-Hop! In the same fashion, they list their top 3 groups in reverse order, explaining why they like the group, their impact in the Hip-Hop game, and why they deserved to be recognized overall. Per usual, the guys then choose which groups are the best, which has the best bars, which list has the most hype, and which list just down right is not good. Do you have the Black Eyed Peas in your honorable mentions like Kevin does? Make sure to check this episode out and let us know who you have in your favorite groups list!
