EP 27: Lets collaborate, not compete with Steve Augeri

This episode features Steve Augeri. Steve has worked in the field of education for the last 23 years, having begun his career as a public school teacher in the U.S. An interest in life beyond America led him on a series of adventures at international schools in Bangladesh, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, China, and India. Along the way, Steve transitioned out of a teaching role and into leadership, culminating in his current role  as the founding Head of School at Oberoi International School - JVLR Campus.

In this episode Steve shares his education philosophy, his views on topics such as competition, inclusion, mental health and the importance of failure for growth. It's critical for students and parents to have a listen, and I promise it will lead to interesting dinner table conversations.

Officer Involved Shooting, PTSD, & The Cynicism It Can Cause

In this episode, I talk with Officer Jake Bigelow. He is an Air Force and Army veteran, prior firefighter, prior medic, and now a police officer working for investigations. He has been involved in two separate on-duty shootings. We discuss those shootings, the process after, the cynicism and PTSD that lies beneath the surface, and hobbies to get the mind aligned. It was a great conversation and I cant wait to have him on for a follow-up.
