Tokusatsu Talk with a Super Sentai ft. Sotaro Yasuda aka GekiChopper

Super Hero Time! The Krewe talks tokusatsu from a couple different perspectives! First Doug chats with long time friend, avid listener of the podcast, and tokusatsu aficionado Chris Gooden to discuss his take on tokusatsu and its US counterparts. Then, Doug sits down one-on-one with a former Super Sentai to talk about what it was like acting in tokusatsu. Sotaro Yasuda is best known for his role in Juken Sentai GekiRanger as Ken Hisatsu aka GekiChopper, but he also played the villain-turned-hero Jabel in Kamen Rider Ghost. Sotaro shares some great stories from times on the set and at live shows, his own experiences as a tokusatsu fan, and how he stays connected to the world of tokusatsu! You don't want to miss this one!

    Episode 24: Bad Telephone

    Episode 24: Bad Telephone
During this episode of A Gay & His Enby, Eamon & Merlin talk Real Housewives of New Jersey as they finish their Ireland vacation, the newest episode of Survivor 44 that sees our first live tribal of the season, & Vanderpump Rules as a day at Hermosa Beach turns chaotic & Scandoval begins to rise to the surface. PLUS: quick spoiler free reviews of Cocaine Bear and Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers: Once & Always. We are Eamon and Merlin, a queer married couple from Texas living in Pittsburgh, PA. We love reality television, wrestling, drag queens, and pretty much anything that can be called even kinda gay. A Gay & His Enby is a podcast where we talk about everything we love in terms of media and pop culture; everything thats gay and gay adjacent; basically all the conversations we have in our living room we are now putting in front of a microphone and on the internet for you. Every week, we have the pleasure and privilege of recording from Sorgatron Media Studios in Pittsburgh. Our theme song is Pulsar by Shane Ivers which you can find at https://www.silvermansound.com All of our social media can be found at our linktree: https://linktr.ee/agayandhisenby In recent years, states have pushed forward a record number of bills that attack LGBTQ rights, especially transgender youth. The current obession with Drag Queens is no exception. This is a thinly veiled attempt to outlaw gender expressions that do not fall within the cisheteronormative guidelines. Confused by that title?  You'll get it in just a moment lol.

Anyway, on today's podcast we discuss the brand new, never before seen, super original and definitely not overly saturated or ridiculously unrealistic, "Fast X" and for that matter, the Fast series thus far.  Have we as audience members seen enough? Or are you looking forward to Dominic Toretto and the gang once again gracing our theater screens?  Let us know on whatever social media platform you're following us on!

As for other news, we discuss the nostalgic "Mighty Morphin Power Ranger Once and Always" special from Netflix.  How it affected us and brought us back to our childhood, and what we did or didn't like about this latest entry in the long-running television series.  Obviously, lots of love to the late and absolutely beloved Trini and Tommy from the original series, and we're so happy that they were such a major part of our childhoods.

Also, we go into what has been one of our favorite running series' thus far, The Mandalorian Season Finale is here, we've watched it, and we've gathered our thoughts for you.  If you have not yet seen it, be forewarned that this is a spoiler heavy review, and we look forward to jumping back into the Mando-Verse, when next season arrives!

Finally, Netflix has produced some absolute bangers lately, and this month's release starring Ali Wong and Steven Yuen is no different.  "Beef" as it is so appropriately named, is about a road rage incident gone viral that alters the course of two people's lives in a way that you will NEVER expect.  We ABSOLUTELY loved this series, and hope that you get the chance to stream it in it's entirety.

As always, join us again next week for more in the entertainment world and thank you for your continued support!

    Good Vibes and Love,
