Los miembros del TC han traicionado el espíritu que supuestamente inspira la Constitución vigente, que es la defensa de la dignidad de las personas. De eso trataba la discusión. Con esta decisión, el TC ha legitimado una expropiación. Porque le ha dicho a los millones de peruanos -a quienes les descontaron el 13% de su sueldo- que esa plata no es suya y no existe.

A partir de hoy, empieza un debate trascendental en el Tribunal Constitucional. Queremos saber de qué lado de la historia y del Perú está este gente. Estos siete magistrados tienen que resolver si es o no inconstitucional reclamar algo tan elemental como el que le devuelvan su plata a la gente que es la única propietaria de ese dinero.

Estamos hablando de personas que aportaron toda su vida el 13% de sus ingresos, para que al final de haber trabajado y haberse dedicado al progreso y transformación del país, lo que reciban es una pensión mínima de 500 soles. Y son afortunados, porque hay pensionistas que reciben menos que eso.

El objetivo de la administración del Estado es resolver los problemas de los ciudadanos o crear un contexto donde las grandes empresas ganen la mayor cantidad de utilidades que sea posible, y lo que pase con la gente no importa o puede esperar.

70 yo male. Returns with wife from safari in S. Africa. Reports suffering from 2 weeks watery diarrhea. Severe water shortage in S. Africa, limited washing water, hand sanitizers to clean hands so problem with hand hygiene.  5 days after arrival he and wife have water diarrhea, 12 per day, nauseated, abdominal cramping. Ab no effect. Stool culture, ONP, negative. Healthy, no past med/surg, no allergies, nothing runs in family. Stool sent off for ONP acid fast stain, also GI PCR panel. Prompts treatment for 7 days trimethoprim sulfamethoxazole, resolves.

Their name itself sounds like they’re a hair salon or something, so needless to say I had no clue who they were, but then again, they were brand new on the scene. Considering how few releases they’ve put out over the years, it always surprised me how much hype they’d gotten. Still, apparently their talents were evident enough to be signed to deals with both Sound In Color and Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music label, though unfortunately all that would result from these two situations was a single 6-track EP (a fairly lackluster one at that if you ask me.) For whatever reason though, I still check for these cats, and so when I came across their first full-length recently, I picked it up to see what the real deal is. Released in 2007 via independent label Babygrande, “The Hollywood Recordings” is (if nothing else) a good look at what they’re capable of. With nearly 20 tracks on the album, there is definitely a bunch of filler and just straight-up mediocre material, too much to really speak on this project as a cohesive album or even to rate it particularly high as a collective. However, there are definitely moments that stand out and suggest that some of the hype has been warranted in years past. I want to compare them (on some level) to Organized Noize…funk, soul, intergalactic isht. Or as they describe themselves: Afro Magnetic Electronic Spiritualism. I wouldn’t go as far as to say these two groups are on the same level, but Sa-Ra is heading in the right direction, and I’m hopeful that they keep doing what they do because the future looks (potentially) bright.
