Troy established the WL Media Group in 2012, a production company for various media types. Under his leadership, one of the company's brands, the WL SportsNet, thrived and became a prosperous business. Troy was among the early adopters of live stream production and podcasting, which are now widely popular.
M. Troy Bye hosts the Our Town podcast in Huntsville. It features guests from various fields, such as business, sports, entertainment, education, and arts. The podcast mainly focuses on living and working in Huntsville. The show is filmed using a three-camera setup and professional audio, and it is available in both video and audio formats.
Troy and his family recently moved to Huntsville from Virginia and have almost fallen in love with everything the city offers. Troy named the podcast “Our Town” to showcase his excitement and commitment to his new hometown.
