Do you know what color your aura is? In this episode we discover the unseen horrors of the spirit realm by strapping on a pair of century-old "aura goggles" and gazing at Greg's crusty energy field. Episode 105 - Founder of Soul Sisters Paranormal, Kristy Sumner
In 2014, Dr. Kristy Sumner coupled her passion for travel, history and the paranormal to form Soul Sisters Paranormal, an all-female team, made up of Sumner, her two sisters and two friends.
As a team of 5 investigators, Soul Sisters Paranormal traveled to some of the most historic, and haunted locations in the U.S. This was to determine for themselves if spirit activity does exist, and to highlight the rich history of each location. The team has traveled and investigated numerous locations, to include: the Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum (WV), The Lizzie Borden House (MA), the Villisca Ax Murder House (IA), the St. Augustine Lighthouse (FL), Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary (TN) and many others.
In 2020, Soul Sisters Paranormal moved to a two-investigator format, with Kristy and her twin sister, Dr. Jenny Sumner, conducting the paranormal investigations. As a two-person team, they've investigated the Attala County Jail (MS), the Old Southern Funeral Home (MS), the Grand Old Lady Hotel (NC), the Hamilton County Jail (FL) and the USS North Carolina (NC). In 2021, Kristy and her friend, Miranda Young, co-founded a company named “History, Highways, and Haunts, LLC” which is operated out of the historic and haunted Historic Scott County Jail in Huntsville, TN.
Prior to forming Soul Sister Paranormal, Kristy, who holds a PhD in Public Affairs with an emphasis on Criminal Justice, was a senior director for a Registered Traveler company focused on biometric clearances for the traveling public, she was a senior consultant for a biometric credentialing company, and she was college professor at Metro State College of Denver and the University of Central Florida. Jenny, who also holds a PhD in Public Affairs, is currently a director at the University of Central Florida.
It's always a great time chatting with Kristy about the paranormal and her experiences. I'm thankful she stopped by A Juicy Pear Podcast, and look forward to her coming on the show again.

Support the showBill Ramsey - Werewolf? - S6 E9
Yes, you read that right: We are talking about the Warren's werewolf case and you might be a little surprised at what we learned. Some of us actually learned something new with the research we uncovered, not just about Bill Ramsey, but also about the medical condition, clinical lycanthropy. Yup... it's an actual thing. Clinical lycanthropy is a rare psychiatric condition which involves a delusion that the sufferer is transforming or has transformed into an animal. So buckle up, Buttercup because we're about to take you on a werewolf ride!

The Snedeker Case: The Haunting in Connecticut - S6 E7
Disclaimer/Warning: We're absolutely savage in this episode - no holds barred! This is one of our favorite cases from the Warren Files to discuss: The infamous Haunting in Connecticut case, aka The Snedeker Family Haunting. This case surrounds the Snedeker family who claimed their house was not only haunted, but that the demons also attacked them late at night...sexually. They sought out the help of Ed and Lorraine Warren, who rated this haunt only a 9 out of 10, though. We lose all sense of decorum and tact in this episode as we discuss the facts of the case as well as possible ulterior motives. Mell and Chris take the gloves off in this episode! If you haven't seen their interview on the Sally Jesse Raphael show, we've included the link below for you along with links to additional resources. After you're done listening, what do you think?

Owlman is referred to as the Stikini by the Seminole Nation and is said to be very similar to a Skinwalker.
Fake Psychics, Internet Liars, and Bad Advice
In this episode, we take a look at some of the more ridiculous aspects of the paranormal, supernatural, and magickal areas of the internet. Fake (or maybe just incompetent) psychics and mediums, people giving out very un-"sage" advice, and jackasses who just straight up lie. Memes are not research, that Insta-witch isn't going to help you with a problem you never knew you had, your favorite celebrity didn't send you a friend request on facebook, and just because you're right doesn't mean you're helping. Please enjoy these and other fun para-tangents in today's episode!

Father and Daughter Paranormal team ParaAmera join us to talk about what has worked for them in their investigations.
We get on the topic of dolls and why they are so creepy to a lot of people and what it takes to have a great investigation and why evidence needs to be scrutinized heavily prior to releasing it.
