It doesn't spend much time drawing out the finer points of theology; James focuses on how we should live and deal with the real-life situations we face every day. James also has a very down-to-earth approach to faith that makes sense to regular people. But James isn't just practical; it's also very spiritual because it's about putting real faith into practice every day in the lives of regular people like you and me!

Many people today think of themselves as having divinity within them or that potential before them. Without going that far, others think of themselves as the center of the universe, consciously or unconsciously. Yet, in scripture, we see a fundamental line between God the creator and the creation, of which we're apart. We're not God or divine, and it's only when we understand these truths that we can really understand God, ourselves, the relationship that we are meant to have, and our place in the universe.
