    Get Your Hopes Up

    Get Your Hopes Up
As we welcome a new year, let’s get our hopes up. The new year tends to be a fresh hope, a fresh expectation of good and I want to take an episode or two to discuss hope, biblical hope. Not the kind of hope that is backed by unbelief, but backed with a confident expectation. Hope is a good thing when we use it the way the Bible says, and hope does not disappoint.

Episode 217: 28AD: Multiplication for the Gentiles, the Gospel is for the Whole World

Episode 217: 28AD: Multiplication for the Gentiles, the Gospel is for the Whole World

Jesus leaves Tyre and Sidon, and goes to the Decapolis, a gentile region across the Sea of Galilee with ten cities. Immediately, he heals a deaf man, by touching his ears and tongue, and speaking 'be opened.' The people say 'he does everything well.' Crowds follow him into the wilderness, where he performs miracles and multiplies fish and bread. The numbers and symbolism of the multiplication paint a picture that the gospel, the break of life, and the body of Jesus, is for the whole world.

    Kingdom Intelligence Briefing

It is time for the people of God to walk out of spiritual Egypt/Babylon and become covenant people.  For most of us, this transformation occurs one step at a time.  Each step takes us further from Babylon and closer to moving into God’s Kingdom.  We must become our own gate keepers, rather than allowing to world’s system to control us.  We need to become the elders in the gate in our homes and communities of faith.

There is a Kingdom connection between walking in the peace of God and moving in Kingdom Authority.  The peace of God becomes that launching pad to release the authority of God in every situation.

Episode 206: 27AD: Jesus Calms the Storm

Jesus arises to speak PEACE to the storm.  In this episode, we cover this scene and the authority of the Peace of God.

PHILIPPIANS (18): The Peace of God and the God of Peace (4:6-9).

PHILIPPIANS (18): The Peace of God and the God of Peace (4:6-9).
Jesus said: "Peace I leave with you, My Peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid" (John 14:27). We discuss the nature of this peace, that Jesus promised to give us, and how it is different from the peace, which the world gives. In our passage in Philippians, we discover the keys to walking in the Peace of God and enjoying the God of Peace who lives within us.

    PHILIPPIANS (17): Overcoming Strife and Anxiety (3:20 - 4:9)

    PHILIPPIANS (17): Overcoming Strife and Anxiety (3:20 - 4:9)
After describing the wonderful transformation that we will receive at the resurrection of our bodies, Paul addresses a problem of strife in the Philippian Church, a personality clash between 2 strong women, giving us an example of how to deal with such conflicts, by calling each one to have the attitude of Christ toward the other, and thereby come into harmony with each other, for the sake of Christ and His Gospel. By reminding them of the supreme importance of the propagation of the Gospel and being written in the Book of Life, Paul helps them to humble themselves and put their petty squabbling aside for the sake of what is truly important - the salvation of souls. Then Paul gives 3 keys to a vibrant spiritual life of joy and peace: (1) rejoicing in the Lord (v4), (2) praying about things with thanksgiving, instead of worrying about them (v5-7), and (3) meditating in God's Word (v8-9). Anxiety comes from pride, when we try and handle everything in our own strength. But if we will humble ourselves before God and submit ourselves and our problems to Him in prayer, then we will be able to receive His abundant grace for the situation (1Peter 5:5-7, James 4:6), which includes the Peace of God, which will fill and relax our souls, and also protect them from anxiety and negative thoughts. As we commit all things to God in prayer and meditate on His Word, then the Peace of God and the God of Peace will be with us.

    The Peace of God

    The Peace of God
Philippians 4:1-7. How is your peace tank? God's peace should transcend every area of our lives but too often we are not at peace. We're under stress, and sometimes experience division in our homes, at church, on the job, or live in a state of fear. In his closing words, Paul encourages the believers at Philippi to live in the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. What is God's peace and what does it look like in our lives?

Multiple lessons: R you walking in the peace of God or fake peace of Man/Woman?

Multiple lessons: R you walking in the peace of God or fake peace of Man/Woman?
The main lesson, but for myself and for y'all, would be the peace of God. As we will notice in God's word, he gives us 2 option, one where he is our peace and strength and the other where we become our own peace and strength. His leads to life and our own leads to death. All through out his word and we are shown this everyday, through the life of our friends and family, who striving all day trying to do things per their own strength and live daily with a false sense of peace.
