Personally Speaking ep. 138 (Cardinal George Pell)

In this episode of Personally Speaking, Msgr. Jim Lisante is joined by Cardinal George Pell from Australia. Cardinal Pell is the former Secretary of the Economy at the Vatican and he also served on Pope Francis’ Council of Cardinals. On March 13, 2019, Cardinal Pell began what was meant to be six years in jail for “historical sexual assault offenses”. He endured more than thirteen months in solitary confinement before the Australian High Court voted 7-0 to overturn his original convictions. Cardinal Pell relives his prison experience in his book, “Prison Journal” and the third and final volume of the journal he wrote while in prison has just been released, titled, “Prison Journal: Volume 3: The High Court Frees an Innocent Man.” In this final volume of Cardinal Pell’s journal he recounts being freed from jail after his conviction was overturned, the support he received from all over the world, and how he made the decision to forgive his accusers.

This week, Ant and Travis will be reviewing the Alabasta arc. Indefinite deserts, resurrected birds, and why does Nami even get fight scenes?

The Real Reason People Go "Crazy"; Nourishing the Whole Self with Deborah Pell Yaffee

The Real Reason People Go "Crazy"; Nourishing the Whole Self with Deborah Pell Yaffee
If "science" doesn't know about a cure, does it really exist? In this episode we learn how science is finally starting to catch up with the "quackery" of vitamins in fighting mental disorders and diseases. Deborah Pell Yaffee has been a new age thinker longer than most of us have even been thinking about holistic health. Oddly enough, when people say, "it's all in your head", they are at least half right. Deborah helps us understand how we can get back to a healthier relationship with food and our bodies. Deborah has a refreshing view on food, health and nutrition and how to make it all more "wholistic"!
