    Destroyer

    Episode 19: Destroyer

On March 15th 1976 KISS unleashed their magnum opus, an album that might as well be considered a greatest hits before it was even released. Destroyer was the album that KISS was looking for. An album that truly represented themselves as artists, it took what they were doing live and  finally captured that spirit on vinyl. With producer and song writer on the album Bob Ezrin brought out parts from each band members that they didn't know they had.

This episode we look at the album as a whole. We look at each song track by track, we pick what other singles could have be used for radio, rank the album cover and the album with what has been done on the show so far. This also wraps up the 45th Anniversary Super Deluxe Box Set series as well.  Nick. Nikko, and Rob will take you through the city streets of Detroit Rock City and beyond as we look at Destroyer!

    The Mix Tape

    The Mix Tape

It was 1980 something, and we can all remember sitting down with our boom box and making that perfect KISS Mix Tape. You poured over it, you had to pick the right songs that expressed what this band means to you.... but each song had to fit just right on the tape. Maybe it was  your road trip tape, maybe it was the tape you gave your best friend, maybe it was the tape you gave that special someone, OR when someone would say KISS sucks and you said HELL NO!... LISTEN TO THIS! So we are going back in time and making a RBTE Mix tape just for you! Lets BANG this one out!

Ep. 92: Covers From Beyond!!! Tributes To KISS

What is it we do here at InObscuria? Every show Kevin opens the crypt to exhume and dissect from his personal collection; an artist, album, or collection of tunes from the broad spectrum of rock, punk, and metal. Robert is forced to test his endurance and provide feedback, as he has no idea what he will be subjected to every week. Our hope is that we turn you on to something that was lost on your ears, or something you've simply forgotten about, or that (in our opinion) should have been the next big thing.

    Songs this week include:

    1. White Zombie – “God Of Thunder” from God Of Thunder EP (1989)
    2. Jim Crean, Vinny Appice, Phil Naro & Steve Major – “Magic Touch” from A World With Heroes (2013)
    3. Doro – “Only You” from Doro (1990)
    4. The Hold Steady – “Hard Luck Woman” from Rags (2014)
    5. Girl Monstar – “Is That You?” from Hard To Believe – A KISS Covers Compilation (1990)
    6. Double Virgo – “Secretly Cruel” from YouTube (2008)
    7. Red House Painters – “Shock Me” from Shock Me EP (1994)
    8. Bruck Kulick – “I’ve Had Enough / Get All You Can Take” from KISS Kruise IX (2019)
