    Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse

    Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse

We've been bit by the love bug. Special guest Matt Serafini joins us to review Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, the sequel to 2018's Oscar-winning Into the Spider-Verse. Despite being the longest animated film ever made in America, Across the Spider-Verse has been collecting cash across the box office-verse, with both critics and audiences agreeing that this is a sight of a comic book movie to behold. But what do the Cinemaholics think? We start the show with a brief rundown of the movie's backstory, then swing into a spoiler-free review. We do open up for spoilers later on in the show with plenty of warning, and be sure to stick around for this week's Rotten Tomatoes Game.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse was directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson. Screenplay by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller (both also as co-producers), and David Callaham. The voice cast includes Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Vélez, Jake Johnson, Jason Schwartzman, Issa Rae, Karan Soni, Daniel Kaluuya, Mahershala Ali, Oscar Isaac, and many more.

Our intro music this week is “Wind Flower” by Toti Cisneros.

    S02E08 - The LEGO Movie (2014)

Welcome to Season 2 of Snubs & Dubs! This season we are covering the 87th Academy Awards, featuring the films of 2014.

For Episode 8, we are talking about Phil Lord & Chris Miller's The LEGO Movie. Emmet (Chris Pratt), an ordinary LEGO figurine who always follows the rules, is mistakenly identified as the Special -- an extraordinary being and the key to saving the world. He finds himself drafted into a fellowship of strangers who are on a mission to stop an evil tyrant's (Will Ferrell) plans to conquer the world. Unfortunately for Emmet, he is hopelessly -- and hilariously -- unprepared for such a task, but he'll give it his all nonetheless.

Please leave a five-star review and follow us on the social platforms below! We'd love to hear your feedback on the episodes, or thoughts on the movies themselves!
