Rudosa on the current state of techno, self-comparison and working with Amelie Lens' EXHALE

Today's episode of Belta is with Manchester-based Rudosa. He’s a stellar techno DJ with an ethos dedicated to platforming and helping upcoming artists through a variety of initiatives and schools he runs – alongside his own groovy, hard hitting output.

I sat down with Rudosa and we spoke about all sorts: from the current state of techno, to renting out Pikes, to battling with self-comparison whilst also chatting about our favourite techno tunes and his multitude of side project. He's a busy man!

Episode 4. Danielle Moore (Crazy P)

Episode 4. Danielle Moore (Crazy P)

On this episode of the podcast we bring you Danielle Moore. Lead singer of the brilliant Crazy P.

As the front woman of a band known worldwide for their unique fusion of slinky underground house & disco (with a sprinkling of pop)... Danielle is just as happy belting out her stunning vocals on outdoor festival stages as she is in a sweaty East London basement. And as we return to normality after the madness of Covid, you’ll be able to see her doing her thing this summer at Pikes in Ibiza and Marston Park as well as festivals such as Coast Roads, Hide & Seek and Kaleidoscope alongside the likes of Orbital and The Happy Mondays. (And for those of you lucky enough to have Glastonbury tickets there will be one or two big surprises in store!)

    Episode 11 - Paul Linney

    Episode 11 - Paul Linney

Paul Linney has been on the frontlines of our dance culture institutions for more than 30 years. He’s spent his life immersed in music, DJ’ing and running clubs and bars from a young age.

Amongst many other accomplishments, Paul is a regular at the highly revered Pikes hotel in Ibiza where his nights are consistently recognized and awarded as the Best One-Off Events on the Island. This, where an invitation just to play at Pikes is high praise unto itself.

In this episode Paul and I discuss:

    • Sneaking out to the M25 raves
    • How to read and work a dance floor
    • Why Pikes is such an amazing place
    • Whether smaller venues create better vibes
    • The very cool Beach radio
    • And much much more
