I spoke with Rishi at DPreview who knows everything about sony cameras and every camera for that matter.  I wanted to get his take on the images before I made a video and rushed to judgement.

Last night I shot my first show with the Sony a9 setup.  Right off the rip I noticed banding in the viewfinder when focused in on one of the singers.  I had electronic shutter on then switched to mechanical and still had banding.

I have trouble focusing even though I had a task to complete today.  I chipped away at it, but I didn't focus and finish which upsets me.  I sometimes find ways to distract myself opposed to just doing the dam work.
