As a student of Woodford County Public Schools, Kids Win when they are able to apply critical thinking that is informed by evidence while identifying, evaluating, and prioritizing solutions to complex and/or authentic situations in creative ways through originality, imagination, and innovation. In this episode, Superintendent Adkins joins students from Woodford County Middle School to discuss what it means to be a Creative Problem Solver and become innovators to solve real-world problems. Along with her students, Principal Preston shares a little insight on how Woodford County Middle School is building culture around our Portrait of a Learner to help Kids Win in Woodford County Public Schools.

As a student of Woodford County Public Schools, Kids Win when they are able to express thoughts and ideas effectively using different communication skills, actively listen to and embrace diverse perspectives, and demonstrate awareness, sensitivity, concern, and respect to connect with others’ feelings, opinions, experiences, and culture. As a student of Woodford County Public Schools, Kids Win when they are able to demonstrate mastery and application of academic and life skills while learning from successes and failures.
