Religion, Virtue, and Economics: A Discussion with Father Robert Sirico

In this episode, Vivek Ramaswamy invites Father Robert Sirico for an engaging conversation about the intersections of capitalism, virtue, and religion. Father Sirico, co-founder of the Acton Institute and author of "The Economics of the Parables," sheds light on his personal journey from left-wing activism to priesthood. The duo dissect the relationship between capitalism and virtue, the concept of stakeholder capitalism, the involvement of politics in religion, and the importance of moral restraint. The conversation later pivots to discuss the compelling story of Jimmy Lai, a Hong Kong pro-democracy activist, and the implications of his struggle for freedom. This episode serves as a profound exploration of morality's role in economics and the political sphere.

    The benefit of following Jesus

    The benefit of following Jesus
Inspired by my book The Bride of Jesus, this episode looks at the benefit of following Jesus. Beyond salvation, there is so much that Jesus offers us.

    • Jesus teaches everything pertaining to His kingdom and life on earth
    • The name of Jesus is a powerful weapon
    • Provision
    • Power and authority
The bride is not a helpless being, but a powerful force to be reckoned with.

Jesus followers were known wherever they went, people said ‘Those that turned the world upside down have come here’.

There is no other way, those that follow Jesus must turn the world upside down.

If we truly follow Jesus, we ought to do the things He did, and those done by the disciples in the early church.
