Giving birth to a child is one of the most miraculous and momentous experiences of life. Even if you are the “unlucky” one in ten to give birth prematurely, you are still indeed very lucky and blessed.  Every child’s journey will be full of ups and downs, and every small victory and milestone should be cherished and celebrated along the way. Babies bring love and joy to all homes, even the homes of preemie babies. I’d argue preemie babies bring even more love and celebration to their homes than full term babies.

Infertility is so hard to bear. Yet, seen through the eyes of faith, it can become redemptive. Jacob & Beth say the lessons they learned through infertility and the premature births of their twins prepared them to deal with other, longer-term trials in life. This is a must listen for anyone with twins, NICU experience or any labor and delivery nurses. In this episode, Kristina talks about her breastfeeding/pumping journey with two sets of twins and how they differed. She talks about the struggles and raw feelings that come with twins and preemies and I definitely teared up during our conversation. She inspired me in her fight to make breastfeeding work while in the hospital and she shares how it was incredible nurses who helped her find the strength to carry on.
