Double Standard On Age For Trump And Biden?

Double Standard On Age For Trump And Biden?
On June 14, Donald Trump will turn 78 years old.

Joe Biden turned 81 in November.

Whether the candidates like it or not, age, mental acuity and physical fitness are issues dominating the 2024 election cycle.

Though the two men were born fewer than four years apart, voters have consistently expressed more concern about Biden's age than Trump's.

Is a double standard being applied when it comes to the presidential candidates and age?

Biden Memory Issues?; Reaction to Putin Interview

Biden Memory Issues?; Reaction to Putin Interview

    On today's podcast:

    1) President Joe Biden forcefully — and at times angrily — sought to combat suggestions his acuity was declining in a hastily-arranged press conference Thursday night

    2) The US Supreme Court appeared poised to keep Donald Trump on this year’s presidential election ballot, as the justices weighed a historic clash over Colorado voter efforts to disqualify him over his role in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

    3) President Vladimir Putin said Russia hasn’t achieved its objectives in Ukraine yet, adding in an interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson that he would consider negotiations if the US stops supplying weapons to Kyiv.

Ep. 742 - Why Our Society Is Collapsing

Today on the Matt Walsh Show, there has been a dramatic increase in violent incidents on airplanes. There’s also been a dramatic increase in violence incidents everywhere else. What does all of this add up to? Also five headlines. Joe Biden continues to mentally decay in front of the world. Caitlyn Jenner says that he’s the victim of transphobia from the Left. Are the Dems in fact the real transphobes? And CNN’s Ana Navarro defends public masturbator Jeffrey Toobin. Finally in our Daily Cancellation, we’ll discuss the increasing efforts to normalize sex work.

Ep. 475 - Criticize The Lockdown, Get Censored

Today on the Matt Walsh Show, two ER doctors committed the sin of criticizing the lockdowns and their video was removed from YouTube because of it. We’ll talk about the effort to censor anyone who doesn’t toe the party line on the coronavirus. Also, Five Headlines, including newly released footage of alien spacecraft, and the Washington Post twists itself into knots to avoid reporting on the Biden sex assault allegations. And in our Daily Cancellation, I must once again cancel someone very close to me. I hate to do it, but it must be done.

    The case for impeachment

    The case for impeachment
I have grown obsessed with a seemingly simple question: Does the American political system have a remedy if we elect the wrong person to be president? There are clear answers if we elect a criminal or if the president falls into a coma. But what if we just make a hiring mistake, as companies do all the time? What if we elect someone who proves himself or herself unfit for office — impulsive, conspiratorial, undisciplined, destructive, cruel? I’ve spent the past few months reporting out a story on that question — a story that is about Donald Trump, sure, but also about the American political system more broadly — and so today, on the podcast, the tables are turned: Sean Rameswaram, the host of Vox's new, soon-to-be daily explainer podcast, interviewed me about “The case for normalizing impeachment.” The big question here is one that I've been weighing on the podcast in recent months (listen to my second episode with Chris Hayes and you'll hear an early version of it): Are the civic and political consequences of impeachment worse than the consequences of leaving a dangerously unfit president in office? I think I've come to an answer — but it's not the answer I started with. Enjoy!
