To Protect our Children's Futures, We Have to Partner with God in Their Education

To Protect our Children's Futures, We Have to Partner with God in Their Education

The mission of my ministry is to promote a Christian worldview that recognizes redemption, restoration, and victory in Christ. Let me share my own experience with the education system, including my struggle with dyslexia. This gives you some background on why I'm not sending my kids to public school. Schools push an agenda that contradicts Christ. Ask yourself some vital questions about government involvement in education and social justice movements.

I wanted to share my family's journey with education, even though I don't think we should have to justify our choices. If you're thinking about homeschooling, trust your gut. You can make homeschooling work with grants, scholarships, and community support. Whatever you choose, you should make your own decisions based on what's best for your family.

I think a private Christian school is the best fit for my family right now. Learning in such an environment equips children to fight the enemy and a worldview from a young age. I want you to think about your values and what you want your kids to embrace, and acknowledge how early childhood experiences shape us.

The Power of Personas In Reaching Marketing Goals

The Power of Personas In Reaching Marketing Goals

Deborah Janz has a passion and curiosity for international and corporate culture. This, combined with her experience with business, sales, and technology, created the foundation of IMPACT Marketing International in 2007.

One of Deborah's first projects was a family business, providing safe and educational online experiences for young children. She geeked out daily on how to attract more paid users to the website. The KidZap website ultimately received more than one million visitors per month.

After twenty plus years of helping businesses reach their audience and generate leads through social media and digital marketing, Deborah began to customize strategies for international education. With a focus on deeply understanding a school's culture, thereby creating marketing promises a school can fulfill, IMPACT's methodologies revolve around high-integrity marketing practices.

Deborah thrives on the complexity and challenge of the intercultural mix within international schools and in the various countries they draw from. She has developed strategies, and workshops, and built and led a team of experts to help schools in Asia, Europe, Africa, and North America understand their unique brand position, expand their reputation, and increase enrolment.

So much more than a typical private school: Melissa Mohr on shifting from private school educator to microschool founder

So much more than a typical private school: Melissa Mohr on shifting from private school educator to microschool founder

Melissa Mohr worked for 17 years as a teacher and an administrator in a traditional private school in West Virginia, but last year she and some of her colleagues decided to venture out on their own to create a microschool. Her City on a Hill microschool opened in Bridgeport, West Virginia in September 2022 with about 50 kids and continues to attract families who want an alternative to a conventional public or private school. City on a Hill blends the freedom, flexibility, and personalization of homeschooling with the structure and support of a classroom experience. West Virginia's new microschool legislation helped to carve a pathway for founders like Melissa.

Education in the Face of Barbarity and How You Can Help

Education in the Face of Barbarity and How You Can Help

This episode of the SparkCast is not about school marketing. It’s not about attaining and retaining students. It’s not about social media.

It’s about the Pechersk School International in Kyiv, Ukraine.

It’s about the story of the attack on the school by the Russians in February 2022… the story of the school’s leaders’ perseverance and resilience…the story of how the international private school community has come to PSI’s aid in remarkable and creative ways…and it’s the story of the story.

We talk with David Willows of [YELLOW CAR] and Miles Latham of Affixxius Films.

Being in Community With Others - Service Day

Hear how Oak Knoll instills a sense of service in students, connecting their own experiences and the needs of the wider world. We sit down with Michele Van Kalsbeck, Oak Knoll's Director of Campus Ministry and Theology Teacher, about our annual day of service. During this episode, she talks about using this day as an essential jumping-off point to remind students that being in service is a mindset that should be ever-present rather than an activity performed for others.
