Gene talks about COD4 and touches on the fan made DOTA mod for Warcraft 3. Rombie discusses his disappointment with Silent Hill Homecoming and the direction of the series in general.

Breaking news cuts in with the announcement of Resident Evil Archives for Wii (RE0 and RE1 Remake).

Carnivol then discusses a recent visit to Capcom Europe where he played Bionic Commando at a "First to Play" event. Details about the game are all over the place as he discusses both the Multiplayer and Single Player portions of the game.

The podcast returns with a 3 hour long edition of the Dispatch. On this episode, we cover a whole lot including Resident Evil 5, the launch of Project Umbrella, Outbreak's resurgance at THIA and much more. This podcast marks the introduction of the Whatcha been playing segment which covers non Resident Evil games as well. Carn talks about Halo Wars and Prince of Persia. After that, John talks about Killzone 2 for a bit. Gene talks a bit about Umbrella Chronicles, and very little on Super Mario RPG now that its available on the VC (basically the first release in Europe). He also touches on Uncharted. Wayne talks about Broken Sword a bit, and Silent Hill now that it got a PSN release in Europe. Finally, the discussion tops out with some Left 4 Dead and a little bit of Silent Hill Homecoming.

In the second segment, we discuss all aspects of Resident Evil 5 including the racism issue.

For the third segment we discuss a little bit of Biohazard Outbreak, and then, given Takeuchi's comments that RE6 will have to change the formula again, we move on to what we would want for Resident Evil 6. After that, we talk about Darkside Chronicles, the launch of Project Umbrella, and finally we discuss the DLC for pay discussion.

Mr. Spencer goes MIA behind enemy lines, as a whole bunch of people end up coming in on this final episode for 2008. We finally get to discuss the Biohazard 5 demo, and our thoughts on it. Being years end, we didn't have much time between unwrapping presents and all that to cull some news together, but the segment will be back in the new year with episode 9. Forgive the joking nature of this podcast, I'm sure we were all a bit intoxicated or a bit too giddy in some way or another. Thanks again to Nomad9026 for yet another great skit. Yet another mega-episode! On episode 6, Rombie from Resident Evil Fan and TheSelfishGene join us to discuss the first Resident Evil movie. With Rombie's help, Dot50Cal was able to read both George Romero's original script, as well as an early draft of Paul Anderson's script for the movie. He gives a full run through of the events in Romero's script, and details the differences in Anderson's early draft. Rombie also gives us a great breakdown of the development history of the movie and the various pitfalls that halted its production.

In this episode, we go back to where the obsession began. All three of us recount our first exposure to the Resident Evil series. After words, we get into the meat of the game and discuss its mechanics after having played the later games in the series. A slew of news slams us this week including all the goodies from the Tokyo Game Show. We finally have our call in line setup, and we take some calls from some of the listeners in the podcast.
