JOHNATHON SCHAECH: Embracing Your Inner Leading Character

JOHNATHON SCHAECH: Embracing Your Inner Leading Character

In 1996, actor Johnathon Schaech appeared on the cover of Vanity Fair's Hollywood issue alongside leading men Leonardo DiCaprio, Will Smith, Matthew McConaughey and many more. But Johnathon admits that he didn't always feel like a leading man throughout his life. Appearing in hit classics including Tom Hanks' "That Thing You Do!", Johnathon has gone on to earn over 100 film and television credits on projects including Showtime's "Ray Donovan", "DC's Legends of Tomorrow", "Texas Rising", "Marauders" and will be starring in the upcoming television project "Blue Ridge: The Series" to be released in April. Today, Johnathon returns to the show as we discuss why your reel is your calling card, the invaluable lessons he's learned from Tom Hanks, and how Johnathon came to embrace his inner leading man in life and on screen.

These are the unforgettable stories that landed Johnathon Schaech right here.

    295 Prom Night (2008)

    295 Prom Night (2008)

288 Prom Night/Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night II (1980/1987)

288 Prom Night/Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night II (1980/1987)

    Episode 68 | Prom Night (1980)

    Episode 68 | Prom Night (1980)

It's Prom Night! The 1980 original with Jamie Lee Curtis, that is... In this episode, we rediscover this oldie which came out during the post Halloween slasher craze (and disco era), where we draw comparisons from Italian giallos to "I Know What You Did Last Summer" and everything in between. We'll also choose which character we think was most deserving to die, so stick around until the end.

Prom Night (1980): "Muthafuckin' Disco Prom"

Prom Night (1980): "Muthafuckin' Disco Prom"

Why don’t all horror flicks have a five-minute long disco dance scene? It seems like just the thing the genre is missing — but, luckily, Prom Night (1980) doesn’t disappoint on that front. On a new episode of Spooky Tuesday, we’re throwing it back to the OG prom movie as we talk about bad boyfriends, how having a sick van can help you find your soulmate, and the most Jan Brady-core piece of trivia we’ve ever heard. This Jamie Lee Curtis original might not have taken off quite as much as its 70s and 80s contemporaries, but with its own set of mysterious phone calls and a shout out from Scream’s Randy Meeks himself, you know it’s worth a watch.

    Murder/Kill/antes Ep. 4 - Prom Night (1980)

    Murder/Kill/antes Ep. 4 - Prom Night (1980)

    110 - Prom Night (2008) Review

    110 - Prom Night (2008) Review

It is said that the 2008 remake of the 80's slasher classic Prom Night is our good friend Melissa's favorite movie. We have previously seen both the remake and the original movie and were not fans of either. However, that was a long time ago. It's prom season now and we have Melissa back on the show to talk about this movie as well as let Bryan and Shane experience their first prom.

In Prom Night, Donna is looking to have the night of her life with her friends. Little does she know, that the killer who murdered her family and left her traumatized years ago, has other plans for her on her prom night.

    PROM NIGHT 2 (1987)

Episode #1: This week, Steven makes Leo watch "Prom Night 2". A good fucking time ensued...

    1. This is one of our early episodes. We've learned a lot about audio, structure and style... but it's a funny episode and a cool movie. Be kind. If you want better audio, jump to episode #5.

Prom Night (2008): "Idris Elba Is In This"

Prom Night (2008): "Idris Elba Is In This"

Does our episode title not say it all? Idris Elba is in Prom Night (2008), and we’re talking about that incredible piece of casting and all the rest on a new episode of Spooky Tuesday. Also starring Brittany Snow, Jason from Friday Night Lights, Terri from Glee, Kellan Lutz from Stick It, and Ming-Na Wen from Mulan, it has a fairly stacked crew — which might be all that it has going for it depending on who you ask. Dubbed a “baby slasher” by our hosts and given a PG-13 rating, it may or may not deliver on the scares, but it definitely doesn’t deliver on the fake blood front.

    PROM NIGHT VIRGIN

    Season 1  - Episode #4

    SUMMARY
Joey and his best friend Bailey were the two best-looking bros seniors in school. Everyone admired these two great-looking hot dudes. When prom came around, there wasn’t a girl in class who didn’t want to be one of their dates. They certainly had their pick of the ladies, and each of them chose the hottest girl around. The two couples ended up having a blast at prom and finally headed out in their limo to a remote motel room to get better acquainted. Once alone in the room, it appeared that perhaps the two couples may have chosen the wrong partners.
