This week Dan and James answer two more listener questions.
Our first question is from Yvonne in who asks “How do you recommend finding a mentor? Are there any you can recommend? I am looking to invest in property and I also have a property related business so looking for a mentor for both if possible but in relation to the investment side would be most important. Ideally looking to invest in commercial or mixed commercial and residential.”
Next up we have Paul from Camelford who asks, “I am looking to dive into the Buy to Let world and I know a lot of the calculations are done on the property in terms of lending and its performance. Do you have to have a good credit rating also or does that not really matter?”
Tune in to find out what Dan & James had to say.

Episode 14: Ask Dan & James: Should I self manage or use a letting agent? PLUS Am I able to get a mortgage with a low income?
Description:
This week Dan and James answer two more listener questions.
Our first question is from Lisa in St Austell who asks “I would love to hear your thoughts on whether I should manage my new buy to let property myself or whether I should be working with a lettings agent?
I already have one property in Redruth that’s fully managed by a lettings agent, so I’m wanting to know if I should stick with that for my second investment property or just give it a go myself.
Whilst my second property is in St Austell and I live locally, I’m not sure if I should self manage this or hand to a local agent to manage?”
Next up we have Adam from Penzance who asks, “I have always been interested in property and would love to invest. My Mum and Dad have kindly gifted me some money to buy an investment property but I fear my Cornish wage is too low of just £24,000 for it to stack with the mortgage payments etc? Is it still possible?”
Tune in to find out what Dan & James had to say.
